Quilting with Liberty Fabrics: 15 quilts celebrating 145 years in fabric

This was a great price for the Liberty book that is fast becoming a classic quilt book for anyone who might want to start quilting. There is a history of Liberty fabric, photography is great. There are templates and fabric suggestions and helpful suggestions to make the quilts up. It is a book to dip in and out of and I would recommend it to anyone who loves quilts but isn't looking for a quilt bible.

Jenni Smith's lifelong love affair with Liberty fabrics and her background in quilting has resulted in this beautifully presented book. By creating a quilt for each decade of of the Liberty design studio she has given us a background to the introduction of many of the classic Liberty designs. I had already ordered this book when I attended the 'virtual' book launch and listened to the stories of how the quilts were designed and the fabrics chosen. I would recommend this book to all quilters who love Liberty fabrics even if it is just to keep looking through the gorgeous photographs! I was not asked to write this review nor have I received any compensation for doing so!

It is a beautiful book with lovely illustrations of the different quilts. The instructions are very clear and the quilts are slightly different. They look wonderful in the various Liberty Prints and it would make an ideal gift for someone who likes quilts and sewing.

Fantastic book, fantastic fabrics ! Highly recommended

This is a lovely book on the surface, the production, pictures, and instructions are perfect, but if you are buying this because you want to make the quilts there is a flaw.Many of the templates require enlargement by 125% - 200% etc., which is a common complaint for quilting books but is never addressed by publishers, in addition for the remainder you have to attempt to put a large hardback book into your printer probably damaging the spine in the process.There is an obvious solution, separate paper templates could have been included instead of a pretty but useless hard cardboard sleeve which contributes nothing. I have also checked the Lucky Spool website but I can't see any mention of download printable versions which have been available for other books I have bought.I have written this review because it is what I would have liked to have known before I bought the book.

Another Great book from liberty.. a lively colourful book with really good templates
