Bad quality, buyer beware
Wrote the same review for the 14" but the review is the same for these:Terrible quality. These things look like they were taken from the rustiest dustiest underground sewer. They were VERY rusty and the threads seemed like they could be stripped at any moment when I started adding tees to them. I purchased these to build some pipe shelving for my kitchen and was on a time crunch so I don't have time to return them, but I'll just bite the bullet and pay a little extra for Brooklyn Pipes or another brand ( starts with Ever?) next time. I ordered longer " unfinished" pipes from Brooklyn Pipes because they were the only one who carried the length I needed and the quality is light years apart. Oh well, I sanded them as much as I could with damaging them, added rust prevent and a crap ton of black spray paint.I bought these in both 12" & 14" and both were just awful.

Beautiful space saving unit!
I'm in love with my unit, had some shipping issues with some of my order for this because of the way it was packaged. I had to reorder the longer pipes and when i received the second reorder they were taped over plastic bags. if they send them out that way of package expect to have to cancel and order again. I figured maybe it was a fluke mailing issue and ordered again because I'm doing 1 for my granddaughters room and again im sitting and waiting! I hope yours comes faster then mine did. I have to say tho, this is a simple unit to put together and im in love with it!

Be aware of your application
This pipe is perfectly fine, depending on what you are doing with it. I am building a ladder for a bunk bed. We are not big people, but if you tend to be in the overweight/underheight group, then use 3/4". This is alright where the pipe is screwed all the way in to the fitting, HOWEVER, in building a ladder, you can only have half of the thread in to the fitting, so the threaded shank on these pipes is too short! Buy pipes with longer thread sections. I am using these for the rungs, but not the upright supports of the ladder.

This Is Not Real Iron Pipe
Do not compare this to regular iron pipe it can not be used for that purpose. It is for decoration only. Either its thin plastic or I didn't know they could make metal that thin. You can bend it with your hands and you wont do that with iron pipe. If you just need it for a decorative purpose, somewhere you would use flimsy plastic and just need the look its fine.

NOT for liquid or gas plumbing
NOT for liquid or gas plumbingIf you are looking to use these for air or liquid plumbing, keep looking. BUT if you are looking for a product to represent an industrial look for furniture or decorating, these are perfect.

Warped madness
I should have read the reviews more thoroughly everyone was right on. I don't know anyone that would use these. They are warped like crazy. It makes assembly of anything near impossible. Return them and had to go by the real thing

Only useful for lightweight projects
Not useful for any project requiring strength. The threads are short and the pipe is thin. I was going to use it for a ladder but when threaded together with couplers was flimsy and crooked.May be okay for a simple wall shelf or other such project, but I would not use it for anything like a ladder or a bookshelf or anything that will hold any weight.

Not real Black Iron Pipe but it is good.
If I had read the posting properly I would have realized this is not real "black iron pipe". It is still good, and I have found a use for it, so I am changing my review to indicate this. If you are looking for industrial black iron pipe there are listings for that. This is more decorative black iron for projects, it's pretty good.
