I bought this to hold my Roland TD-50 drum module. I attach it to my hi hat with the SC-EA300. It works perfectly and it takes up less space than a cymbal stand would. It is the right height fro the drum module while I am seated at my drum set.

Excellent for use as a support leg onto a rack ...
I'm starting to really appreciate Gibraltar's interchangeability with the various parts of their offerings. This is a superclamp, a multi-angle ratchet and an extendable post consisting of (I think) a 3/4" tube going into a 7/8" tube. Excellent for use as a support leg onto a rack tube. That's its purpose for me!

Sturdy and worth the price.
It does what it says it does. Worked for me to brace my legless hihat. 👍. Sturdy and worth the price.

Beefy clamp, solid performance.
The grabber on this is rock solid. This is a very versatile configuration but if the extension base came with multiple size internal sleeves it would be more versatile because you would be able to slip the pieces up and use them both independently easier if an idea or need called for it. I used this with a one leg/floating snare and it worked good for that purpose. The adjustability in length and angle is great.

Gibraltar makes awesome hardware. Very Solid Piece I have two
Generally speaking, Gibraltar makes awesome hardware. Very Solid Piece I have two. For my hi-hat this is perfect, but to work as intended for my snare I have this thing fully extended so I needed to buy a heavier duty clamp to attach this extension to my rack.I may still add another support for it.

after asking for help they pretty much told me I was SOL
Again leg was too short This is part of a legless stand Gibraltar offers. Don't know why they think all drummers sit low and close. after asking for help they pretty much told me I was SOL. I sold the part to a friend and purchased a Pearl stand worked out way better. I actually thought Gibraltar were pros. Guess not!
