Worth the money
My grandson is 7 and loves this Razor scooter I got him for Christmas! Easy to operate and lots of fun. It goes 10 miles an hour which is faster than other scooters I looked at. He rides it with no problems at all

Loads of fun and easy to operate
My 7 year old really wanted the mod scooter, but the age for it said 12 and up... so Santa brought her this scooter. She also has a 10 year old sister who didn't want one, but Santa brought her one anyhow. We have only gotten to use them twice due to snow.... but they were a HUGE HIT! They are just the right size for BOTH kids... the mod would have been much too big and too fast and the battery life lasted very long. Says 40 min... they played with them for 3 hours with only a few very short breaks for a drink or something before they lost power. Well worth the small price tag. Also, Amazon ships it wonderfully... the box was covered(so they couldnt' see what it was) and was completely intact, no damage at all. The scooter is very easy to put together and charge. Great purchase!!

10 mph scooter. Easy to ride. Good value.
Bought two of these for my 9 yr old daughter and 6 year old son. They both love them. Both found them easy to ride. And they go plenty fast enough, i dont see a ned to upgrade to the Faster versions. They are very sturdy, and should last a long time. Only slight drawback is they Do not have enough clearance underneath to go down a 45 degree curbs in our neighboorhood., they scrape a bit. There are two metal bars protecting the battery, so no issue with damage. Taking curbs on angles seems fibne.

Really fun...but only until the warranty runs out!
I bought this scooter for my son for his birthday. He had lots of fun riding it everywhere and enjoyed it a lot. Then, about 4 months after we got it, it just quit working (Amazon will take returns for 30 days, the Razor warranty was 90 days). The light goes on and says it is charging, but it won't run after it is done. My son also has a friend who has the same scooter and the same problem. So don't waste your money! $100+ is a lot to spend on something that only works for 4 months!

Razor E100 Electric Scooter
We purchased this scooter as a Christmas gift for our 5.9 year old grandson. We were concerned that he was too young to ride an elctric scooter and that the assembly may be too complicated. The scoooter was a snap to assemble and consisted of placing the handle into the post holder on the base of the scooter. The charger came with the scooter, and we charged the battery ahead of time so he could ride the scooter right away. The initial charge takes eighteen hours and twelve hours thereafter for a full charge. We couldn't imagine a 5 year old waiting two days to ride a new scooter! The blue color and the scooter itself is depicted acurately in the photograph. It has a tiny kickstand that holds the scooter upright and securely. Our five year old put on his bike helmet and took off down the street like a pro, easily managing up and down hills and stopping gracefully. We thought the scooter was pricey, but are delighted with the manufacturing and design of the Razor E100. Our grandson is enjoying his new gift.

Good product...poor quality control
I ordered two of these for my twin grandsons. One was perfect and he was happy out of his mind to have it. The other had a problem with the brakes rubbing against the tire. We sent it back to Amazon and they overnighted another one to us, which was great service. However, the replacement scooter was also bad. My son then went to a store to buy another one but opened the box before he actually bought it. This also had the same problem. He then opened another box and it was good, so he purchased it. My grandsons love it. It seems when it's good it's very, very good, but when it's bad it's horrid.

This gift was a home run
My 8 yr old said this was "the best Xmas present ever." Any excuse to get him outside works for me, but I like the product itself too. The motor sets a perfect speed for a child- not to fast or slow, he was very steady right away despite not spending a lot of time on his bike these days, and we have yet to run down the battery. We'll see about that as times goes by. It is heavy, but easy for an adult to pick up and carry- really feels substantial. You need to discipline your kid to remember to turn it off, and need to keep an eye on the allen screws that hold the fork to the body. They get loose. Keep them off of hills till they get used to letting off the accelerator, then applying the brake. Otherwise, it is as safe as a bike. I highly recommend it for an 8 yr old who is 54 lbs. I am 200 lbs and it was noticeably slower, but still did the job. If you give it as a gift, be sure to open it, attach the handlebars and charge it. Put a bow on it. Otherwise your kid will be going crazy waiting 12 hours for the initial charge.

My 9 year old can't get enough!
This is my 9 year old son's favorite "toy". He rides every day. There was a bit of a learning curve for him at first but he caught on quickly and can ride all over now. I would say 8 or 9 is really the minimum age for this. My 6 year old who is the daredevil of the family, won't ride it. He thinks its too fast for him and he usually doesn't turn down any adventure. There is one slight design issue. The plastic housing around the rear wheel comes so low to the ground that if you shift your body weight a little too much to make a turn, the plastic catches the ground and kicks out the rear wheel and you crash - 2 lacerations on the elbow and one good one on the knee as a result. My son is fine thankfully but you have to tell the kids they cannot lean into a turn too much like you would on a motorcycle or else that plastic housing will catch and you'll go ass over elbows.
