Great way to learn to play again or the first time
Fantastic , bought a small keyboard with lessons for some children in the family . I havent played piano in 40 years at 17 I broke my hand , damaged some fingers and was caught up in racing motorcycles . The piano was sold . With these new Casio's that are portable I thought lets try again . I forgot how to read music . Bought these books number 1 and up and they are great . Starting to learn again . Didn't have the timing down for other classical I didn't know but these I know the tunes and when I do not their on You tube .. Even played from these books . So I am progressing and loving my new Casio Piano too . Couldn't be happier and I am actually starting to self read music can play songs like Rocky Top and Blue Suede Shoes . Very pleased . Thanks for the fun lessons and not to mention the other courses out there online with midi using your computer the Casio hooks up too . Really enjoying myself at 60

Fun beginner piano book!
I’m a piano teacher and this is a great beginner book, for both kids and adults. Students young and old are amazed that so early in their lessons they are playing real music. The whole series of these books from Faber and Faber are amazing because there is something for everyone. Also love that there is teacher’s accompanying music so you can play as a duet with your students which helps with timing and rythym. When students love the music they are playing they are more inclined to practice. So it’s a win win for both teachers and students!!

Good Series
Bought this as a summer time supplement for my daughter to practice while on break. It has ten songs that she is excited about learning to play. Some songs are easier and some songs are just a little less challenging than regular practice books which makes it ideal for summer. Lots of older songs like Rock Around the Clock, Surfer Girl, The Purple People Eater, and Blue Suede Shoes. She is planning on putting on a performance for her Grandparents.

Motivated Students to Practice
I have had two students use this book, one 9 years old and the other 12. They absolutely loved it. This book is useful for emphasizing counting; plus, when students enjoy the music, they want to practice. It's good supplementary repertoire no matter which method you use.

Great book, but includes more advanced concepts.
Wow, this book gave a renewed interest in piano playing for one of my young students who is a fan of Elvis and music from the 1950s and 1960s. It does include a few concepts (like eighth notes) that are not covered in the Level 1 Piano Adventures curriculum (Eighth notes are actually not covered until Level 2B). Too me, that is a little bit of a negative to introduce new concepts apart from the book, but I just showed him the page in Level 2B that explained eighth notes and went from there.

Fun Fun Fun
What a great little song book for beginners. If your child has middle C and C position down or if they need a little more practice this is your answer! This book will provide practice and review with fun! All kids enjoy playing fun songs they know or have heard. They really enjoy cute songs that grandparents will recognize and can sing a long with. This book will add joy to the hum-drum of everyday practice.
