Lego Star Wars: Save the Galaxy!

great for lego starwars lovers
This book simply summarizes the star wars episode 4 movie..1 star taken off by just one inadequate joke that was in the one of the lines by a character in this book. It was just a tiny bit..non-child humor (like, only an adult will find it funny type of deal, nothing really bad for kids.. like one other one would be R2D2 wearing a coconut shell bikini but kids don't know what it is, just looks silly and funny to them)the pictures are more hand-drawn style rather than computer generated.. which I like.the book is hard covered and each pages are just as sturdy unlike many of the scholastic lego star wars books (they are usually very thin) - this book is similar to an 8x11 sizemy 6 year old loves this book. it encourages him to read and engage in more challenging words that are out of his vocabulary realm.

Good quality and entertaining
Very cute book. My 3 year old star wars fan enjoys it very much, as do I! LOL! Only downfall is it is very large, which makes it difficult for tiny hands to hold onto/for it to fit in a bag for travel. I understand it needs to be large, however, because it is written in comic book style, so to read all the caption bubbles...I love that it is a board book as I also have a 18 month old, who loves to tear pages. I would recommend this book!!

Much bigger than I thought!
I was surprised when we got this book at how large it was. It is completely worth the price, which I wasn't sure it would be, when I ordered it. I was expecting a normal sized board book, this one is larger than a sheet of paper, and the pages are written in a comic book style. My 3 year old will love this as one of his "going on vacation surprises" I just hope it fits comfortably in his lap in his carseat!!

Enjoyable for kids and adults
This is a great bedtime book for kids. My son LOVES it. It's pretty clever and does a good job of re-telling the first movie in 8 pages or so.Here is my big complaint though, and the real reason I'm even writing this review... WHERE THE HECK ARE THE NEXT 2 BOOKS LEGO?Seriously, you can't just do the first movie and not have a similar book for Empire and Jedi. Please complete the trilogy.

Great book to introduce star wars
Great book, hard cover is great. Quick story of the first star wars movie. I read the book to my sons for a few nights before watching the movie with him. He loved to follow along the movie with his book... Need to find one for stars wars part 2.

If they like Starwars they'll love this book!
Larger than expected board book, making it easier to find and read together. Boys 3 and 6 love to read it over and over and over. Great Value !

The description of this book is not what it is
The description states that this is a lift the flap book with over 40 flaps. I just received this book and there are no flaps at all. I am very disappointed as I would not have purchased this book without the flap feature.

My son really likes it
After my almost-5-year-old had developed an interest in the Star Wars characters, we wanted to treat him with a surprise present. Sure enough, it was a big hit. A month later, he still enjoys reading the story (we read to him), often times repeatedly. The story itself is a very compact version of Episode IV, but the main details are in there. The pictures are bold and vivid, in comic style, perfect for children. The wording is still a bit too difficult at times for my son, so I simplify some passages as I read them.As a star wars fan myself I find some of the passages a bit ridiculing (Millenium falcon = "giant can opener", Luke accidentally cuts a table in two as he yields the light sabre for the first time) and of course not true to the original Star Wars spirit, but some older children may appreciate the humor thrown in here and there if the pathos of the story alone isn't enough to capture their attention. The book being made of very thick card board is bound to last a long time. Maybe I can pass it on to my grand children ;-) That's probably not so unrealistic given the incredible success of the marketing efforts lasting for 35 years now!

A winner for Lego Star War lovers
My Grandson who is just coming up to 6 years old, loved this book. He looked at the picture for ages and talked about the action etc. He also wanted to take it to school to show his teacher and his friends. I am pleased that I bought it.
