Great redesign
We had to wait a couple of years for this bike to be redesigned. This version gives the child on the back a good, secure seat, a footrest that is large enough to protect a child's feet and a bar to hold on to for stability. It is a great bike.

Perfect for siblings!
We got to try this and other Angeles bikes at our local museum and the kids LOVED them. We got the Chariot as a birthday gift and our younger who can't reach the peddles yet is quite enjoying getting a ride. Family walks are quickly becoming stroller free. I like how sturdy it is and that nobody's small feet can set stuck in the wheels. The only problem I've noticed is that the platform could use a hole to drain rainwater.

Not for special needs // extremely heavy bike // not worth premium price
Bought two of these for our girls ages 7 & 6. Both have Down Syndrome. They have an extremely difficult time peddling this bike. The long seat, while it seems ideal, causes them to slide back too far as they try to drive the pedals with the feet. The grips are very hard and our 7 year old says that they hurts her hands. The bikes do seem very sturdy and that they would last a long time but I can't imagine any child riding them for a long period of time. They are very heavy and not nearly easy to move as a chain-driven bike. Definitely don't think they are worth the price. On another note, if you do decide to get these, make sure you don't buy through the 3rd party seller VirVentures. They are not transparent with their return policies and if you wanted to return them, you will be expected to pay full return price plus a 20% restocking fee. I believe they're just drop shipping the product as the return would go back to the manufacturer. I also emailed the Angeles Company and I never received a response from them.

This is a great sturdy trike
This is a great sturdy trike. The kids have no problems riding it even the little three year olds can ride it. One problem I have had is that in a childcare situation, of course kids "crash" into each other sometimes and the trike has had some paint chip off. I have had other metal trikes and have not had this issue. It does concern me since I have not had it for very long. On the other hand the kids sure enjoy making bus stops and going for bus rides!

LOVE IT!
LOVE IT!!! The preschool that our 3 year old attends has quite a few different Angeles ride on toys that are extremely popular with the children. We decided that with 4 children of our own some ride on toys may not be a bad thing to invest in! The chariot was a HIT!! If one is not riding it solo, they are pulling a sibling in the chariot or delivering things to other areas of our yard. We plan to buy at least one more but have yet to decide on which one.

Sturdy bike
I bought it for my 5 year old little guy who has autism and was refusing to pedal his regular bicycle. It took him a little while to love this trike but now he wants to use it every day, even when there's snow outside and 0 degrees Fahrenheit! It's very well built, not made of cheap plastic like most American toys for kids. This trike will last for a long time. It's a pleasure to see him pedaling on his own. He loves it!
