I'd recommend that you try and downgrade back to iPhoto in ...
I have used this program for years and have sunk quite a bit of money into it. The reason I'm unhappy now is that I had to update to 6 in order to use it on my new Mac and there were a ton more templates available for free in older versions. Also, be AWARE it does not work with Photos on a Mac. I'd recommend that you try and downgrade back to iPhoto in order to use this program. There is no drag and drop option with Photos. I get that it isn't a My Memories issue and is an Apple issue but it makes this program useless for drag and drop. I emailed My Memories and they are aware of the issue. I hope they fix this issue soon.

Disappointing
I am very confused on using this product. I was excited to get it and hopefully make my scrapbooking easier and quicker. I have tried using it a number of times with no success.

Basic Product
A little disappointed in this product. Most of the templates are for purchase they have some that you can download for free, but when I went to the site the webpage couldn't be displayed. (not sure if that was my computer or the webpage). For a basic product it's okay.

Super Fun Scrapbooking Program!!
I love this program! I bought photoshop elements 13 and My Memories (suite 6) for Christmas so I could scrapbook. My Memories is so much easier to use than photoshop elements when scrapbooking! Photoshop Elements is helpful when you have to adjust the lighting in a picture or to create a unique embellishment, but for basic scrapbooking, My Memories Suite 6 is awesome! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because the company doesn't have a big selection of shapes you can apply paper to. I would like to be able to apply a paper to an embellishment (sometimes I don't like the texture of a particular embellishment, and some embellishments are difficult to recolor). UPDATE: My Memories version 7 took care of this problem! Yeah! Here's how you do it: add an embellishment, then click on the photo icon within the embellishment area, then go to an area in your computer where you have your digital papers stored. Click on the digital paper you want, then the paper will be added to your embellishment! I love that! Sometimes it takes a few seconds to work. I'm glad the program let's you do add a paper to embellishments, however, My Memories should put out youtube videos showing people how to use the new features of version 7 because it took me a long time to figure out how to do it.I also don't like that when you are creating a shape and you save it in the user folder, you can't delete it easily. You need to be careful because the program will delete your created shapes in alphabetical order, even though you're just trying to delete a selected shape. I would also like to see a grid on the area where you create shapes. The cons I've mentioned are minor in my opinion. Overall, I love the program!! I also like that you can bring other embellishments into the program. To learn how, go to youtube and watch "My memories suite tutorial 2:adding additional content" by Lesley-The pink toque.com. Lesley has an older version but the method of adding content hasn't changed. I briefly looked into Shutterfly and it looks nice but it is basic and you have to spend a lot on the photo books. I think they charge around $40. My Memories, however, lets you choose what embellishments and papers you want and you can print them out in my own home. I use no name ink for $3/cartridge (cartridges that people gave high ratings to) and I printed a ton of pages cheaply compared to exporting the pictures to shutterfly or Costco and paying $40/book. I bought 9 cartridges of ink for a total of $8 and it lasted 8 months and I printed out a lot of colored pages! One more thing that is IMPORTANT to know is that when I'm in the program and I press print, the colors on my pages are dull compared to what I was seeing on the computer screen! I looked on youtube and saw a video done by KensKreations that explains how to brighten the pages. He recommended that you should click on the "share" tab and then "export" your page to your desktop. Double click on your image on your desktop and the image pops up in preview (this is what pops up on my mac, I'm not sure what pops up on a pc). Then click on "file" and "print". Then, click on the rectangle under orientation that says "Preview". In preview, click on "Print Settings". This will allow you to change the media type to "other Photo Paper". Then Change quality to "Photo" and Color/Grayscale to "Color". I print my pages on glossy photo paper and the color is soooooo much better than printing off the same picture within the MM6 program!!!! I'm hoping that the MM will correct this problem. Currently the program doesn't let you control the type of paper (photo or regular) and quality. There is a big difference in how they look! They should put a link in the printing section of the MM program to link it to the computer's printing options so you can tyou control the type of paper and quality. Once again, aside from the cons I mentioned, this is a great program that I love!If you want to enhance the color on your pages even more, I learned recently that if you export the page to your desktop, then drag and drop the page into photoshop elements (I have version 13), go to "quick" setting which is located on the top bar of the editor, click color, then you can adjust the saturation and vibrance by clicking on the different options, then print the page on photo paper. This really brightens and gives detail to your pages! Hope this helps! Happy scrapbooking!

... this software in a blog giveaway and was very happy to pay for the newer version
I won an earlier version of this software in a blog giveaway and was very happy to pay for the newer version. I was using photoshop before, but this program makes it soooo much easier to design pages. I sometimes had a hard time remembering how I needed to save something so it will print well, and this makes it easy. I use it for printables too. I like that it can be as much 'drag and drop' as you want, and it will also let you totally customize what you want to do. Great software.

Beautiful Digital Pages, but------
MyMemories Suite 6 has beautiful embellishments and backgrounds and I love that part. I don't like that every time I save my work the program saves each and every embellishment and background separately in my document file. My computer is getting loaded down! If anything is deleted that is used in a project, the embellishment disappears from the pages I have made. There is a problem with writing text also. Most times I try to write something, it freezes up. The program makes beautiful digital pages, but needs to have the bugs worked out!
