....But now i'm a believer!
I'll be honest-I have a portable countertop dishwasher and was using liquid detergent from Aldi; and that worked, but when it came to glasses and mugs, there was always a film and it felt like they never really got 'clean.' So I figured I'd try a powdered detergent to see if it made a difference...and boy did it! I noticed that ALL my dishes look so, so much cleaner-some of which still had stuck on food that I couldn't pre-rinse beforehand like chili or peanut butter. So seeing my glasses come out sparkling was such a wonderful surprise! The price is a little steep sure, but it's worth the money.I would say if anything there's really only two downsides:1. this product pours out FAST, so don't open the tab all the way. I find opening halfway and just tapping gets the right amount of detergent in my dishwasher.2. upon delivery of this product, I must have gotten a not so great box-the top was coming apart, and was ALL over the amazon box and my house; luckily our cats didn't get into it, but I hope that was just a one off.

Great Eco Product!
It can be hard to find environmentally friendly cleaning products that really work well, so I was really pleased at how well this worked on my dishes! Great product! I'll be ordering again!

Best dish detergent we’ve tried
My husband and I have tried quite a few eco friendly dishwasher detergents and this is our favorite yet. Our dishes come out extremely clean, there isn’t any residue on the dishes or in the compartment after a cycle so it dissolves perfectly. There isn’t a strong, overpowering smell, it just smells nice and clean. The box being recyclable is a plus as we try to purchase sustainable/eco friendly options when we can. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the pour spout on the box just falls out and makes it difficult to pour or use because the detergent ends up pouring out everywhere. That’s something we would probably consider before repurchasing, but it works so well we would probably just find an alternate container for it.

Good product, but what happened to the price???
My positive, previously written review is below and I stand by it. But I bought this for $14.50 in September 2024; now, just four months later, in January 2025, it costs $21.99. What on earth could account for this wild price jump? I'm furious.______________My countertop dishwasher came with a packet of Finish pods. They clean very well, but I'm not inclined to use them because (a) they put plastic into the water and (b) have much too strong a fragrance for my taste. It did give me a chance to compare efficacy with this Ecover detergent. To my surprise and joy, Ecover works very well -- I'm really not seeing any difference in the results.Nice clean dishes, no lingering fragrance, less impact on the environment. Win, win, win 😎

Is it really 48 oz?
So I purchased this product last in March and 60 days later I had to buy it again. It claims to have 48oz. I use 1 tbsp per load and I used my dishwasher daily. 1 tbsp is 0.50 oz. So therefore there should be 96 loads in total, three months worth. I use a measuring spoon and never heap it, it's always flat to the surface. So how is it running out in about 60 loads? It works great but there's something wrong with the measurements here.

keeps dishwasher clean, too
I had used liquid 7th gen, but my dishwasher always smelled a bit musty, right after running a load. This stuff leaves no residue on dishes, and my dishwasher also looks cleaner. No more weird residue between the bottom of the door and the bottom of the dishwasher.

Never switching again!
I've been using this for years and it's great, but I was tired of having to order dish powder online. My local stores don't carry this, so I made the mistake of switching to Cascade for the convenience of picking it up on a grocery run. BIG mistake. The other stuff leaves a gross soap film on everything, or if I use less, it simply doesn't clean the dishes at all. This Ecover powder never has any of those problems for me. I'm sticking with it this time!I suspect dish soaps are either geared more toward hard water or soft water; thus any given product can work great for one person and not the next. I have fairly soft water and this has been perfect. If you have hard water, it's possible that it won't work as well for you.
