Microplane 38000 Professional Coarse Grater

Those who are struggling to remove the tough label and sticky residue: Spray WD-40 on the area and let it sit for a few minutes, scrub off with a stainless steel scrubber, rinse, soak in boiling water and clean with any dishwashing liquid. Problem solved.

I bought this to replace an identical grater that had worn out after several years use. You can’t beat Microplane for quality.

Wish they would make them longer but otherwise very good.

Dishwasher machine safe but I do take care that nothing will knock against them while being washed. Because of both the high quality and the cost I ensure the graters and shavers are always protected with the bundled guards when not in use.Impressed enough that I added the Professional series "Slider Attachment" 38057. This accessory works better than some of the comments might indicate.

Delighted with this purchase. I had the original design for many years, but the moulded plastic casing deteriorated quite quickly, although the grate remained sharp. The new metal surround is more robust.

Superb quality grater that I'd happily recommend if you're in the market for one. Just be careful where you're fingers are as its very sharp and wouldn't differentiate between food and skin!
