Yes what gasket will make these work with npt? silicone gasket shoots out randomly.

It depends on the female mating part. If the female mating threaded part has an internal shoulder, a 19mm OD silicone washer should work, just like the ones used in shower heads. If there is no shoulder on the inside of the female threaded part, it wont ever seal. The seller needs to change the listing description. It is not an NPT thread. The title mentions straight thread now, but they still have NPT in the listing. it is either G1/2 or NPS. I am pretty sure that it is G1/2 (BSPP).

What type of material is this made of ? Polypropylene ?

Not sure... Plastic?? They work very well no leaks.

Could I use one of these as a “cap” or end piece by just not connecting anything to the quick connect side?

These are for water hoses such as a water filter system. If you need a cap I wouldn't purchase these.

Will these work with hot water? Less than 150 degrees F?

Typical max temp/pressure ratings for 1/4” to 1/2” pvc fittings is as follows: Fittings for tubing ranging from 1/4" O.D. to 1/2" O.D. Maximum pressure is 150 psi at 70°F and 60 psi at 140°F Short answer, no, I wouldn’t use pvc! Look at brass instead.
