they were all super expensive for this project
We are "remodeling" our old 79 Dodge Motor home. Which mean out with all things stinky - carpet, cushions and curtains. When it came time for curtain rods, they were all super expensive for this project. I had an idea to use wooden dowels instead. I purchased two different lengths of dowels, stained them and added a home made bead to the ends. This turned out very inexpensive and super cute so, win, win! The dowles are perfect, super smooth, took stain very well and arevvery sturdy. I am trying to come up with different ideas to use dowels for. This has been a fun and clever project if I do say so myself.

Make great rhythm sticks, for less
I bought the 1/2 inch dowels. I use them for rhythm sticks in the children's music class I teach. These are great! I think for my purposes, I would've preferred slightly thicker sticks 3/4inch -1 inch might have been more ideal. However, the price was right on these, and they do the job just fine. I might try to get my husband to rib some of the sticks for me with a router, so they'll be more like the expensive rhythm sticks as well. The kids LOVE these though, and I spent a fraction of the price on these and got way more then I would have on "real" rhythm sticks.

Great to hang bracelets on when you add end caps to dowels
Exactly what I needed, will put caps on ends and use to hang on wall hooks with bracelets.I plan to use like five rows of dowels for jewelry. They were great, saved me cutting and sanding already exact size needed.

Love!
I bought these for beginner macrame projects and they work perfectly! They’re solid, clean, good looking dowels and I plan on purchasing more in the future!

Great for affordable rhythm sticks!
These dowel rods are durable and great for using as rhythm sticks. They fit nicely in your hand and have a good sound when hit together. A great value at 50 sticks for $15.99. All other rhythm sticks I found were approximately 24 sticks for $26 or one pair for $6.

So many uses and ideas
I got these to use with help holding my plants up so they do not droop and I did have to cut them in half. they are very well made, and I can see where painting or staining them would be no issues. they are smooth, and you do get a decent amount for the money. I also use them to put behind windows to keep them from being slid open. and they are strong enough to use to hang crystal curtains on. I am please and will purchasing more. ideas are limitless.

correct size
Arrived undamaged, correct size and useable. I ordered 1\2 inch and that's what arrived. There were many reviews that indicated broken or incorrect size. My order did not have that. no problem
