Buy This before the sellers get smart!
This is one wicked peeler. Described by family/friends as looking like a medieval torture tool, I think it looks most like a giant old style single blade razor (something your dad or Granddad had, I haven't seen them in years). Anyway, let’s get to the facts of this remarkable kitchen tool. FIRST, its nasty sharp, and I mean sharp, be careful with it. SECOND, it's built like a very solid, high grade stainless steel kitchen tool should be (amazing some company does it right!!). This thing isn't going to break unless you hit it with a sledgehammer, and hard. THIRD. It does the job!! Boy does it do the job. To explain; I have been canning butternut squash from my garden. That skin is so tough that my peelers either bounced off of it, or in the case of a ceramic blade peeler, broke. I was forced to stick them in boiling water to soften the skin enough to peel it. Both a hassle and a bit dangerous (dipping and removing from boiling water). THEN I FOUND THIS TOOL. Didn’t know what to think at first, but they stated it was tested against butternut squash, made of high grade stainless steel, and it wasn’t expensive. Turns out, it takes that skin off of raw butternut squash like shaving with a new razor. You can make a peel about as long as you want with it, and tough sections, like the ground side, barely slow it down. A very worthwhile investment, and it’s obviously going to last for years. The only negative about it is that the blade leaves a ‘corduroy’ pattern when it peels. This could be considered decorative if serving peeled items on a table. You won’t get a flat smooth peel like standard peelers produce. For flat out peeling tough items though, it makes no difference, and you wouldn’t use this ‘a-bomb’ tool on such simple items as cucumbers anyway. I haven’t yet used the julienne peeler side, but intend to soon. Given it’s of the same remarkable steel, sharpness and sturdiness of the peeler side, I’ll soon be enjoying a lot of hash browns. Conclusions: This is the type of tool you’d expect to find only in high end professional restaurant kitchens. It’s made; I believe, of 18/10 stainless, the same as that really expensive pro cookware. For what you get, it’s an absolute bargain!! If you have tough vegetable peeling problems (heck, you could probably plane wood with it), you just found the solution with this tool. Buy it, and you won’t regret it (do it before these guys realize what they have and jack the price sky high!!).

Stop reading review and just buy this! It's an amazing kitchen gadget.
I really love this julienne peeler. I was looking for a tool to make zucchini noodles because I had a heaping basket full of zucchinis after our first frost hit and I didn't want to waste them. I checked out a few different options -- the counter top spiral cutter, the hand held spiral cutter. Both seemed cumbersome and limited to only smallish zucchini. Both were plastic and I wanted to get the plastic out of my life. I was hoping to also be able to cut butternut squash and various other vegetables. I didn't want to be limited to carrot shapes in my quest for veggie noodles. The small opening of the other two, and the room they would take up in my kitchen persuaded me to keep looking.I found this Julienne peeler and immediately loved it. I read the other reviews, too, and it looks like I'm not alone. It is sharp. It is totally stainless steel. With this I can make long zucchini noodles in just a few minutes, really less time than it takes to get the big spiralizer out of the kitchen cupboard and suction cup it to the counter. It looks like it would be hard to clean with all those little blades on the julienne cutter, but I was able to easily clean it up with a nail brush. Plus, it's 1/4 the price of the counter top machine. You can also use this to peel potatoes, and cut out chocolate curls. It's a very versatile tool. I plan to buy a second one so that when my husband and I are working in the kitchen we can each use one.I've made zucchini noodles and squash noodles 5 times since picking up the tool. I've served them to company, too. And I think I like zoo noodles more than any noodle I've ever had. They are way easier to make, for sure, with this tool. The company reached out to me several times after my purchase. They offer a pdf cookbook full of dishes that are made with julienned veggies, including zoo noodles. Inside the back cover of the cookbook is a coupon code for 20% off your next purchase. It will make you want to buy this tool again. Definitely the best peeler I've ever owned and a wonderful julienne cutter as well. Thanks for offering this item, UberChef.

Ideal for long and large veggies only
There's this T-Shaped peeler, and there's the I-Shaped peeler. I found that the I-Shaped is more of an all-rounder, you can easily peel fruits and veggies of all shapes and sizes. But with this T-Shaped peeler, you can only peel veggies & fruits that are either large, or long e.g. Watermelon, Cucumber, Brinjal (Eggplant), etc. There's no way you can peel small stuffs like Tomato, Apple, or Potatoes. But the quality of the steel is good, 3 years and it still hasn't rusted or lost its edge.

Third time lucky!
Finally! This is the third julienne peeler I have bought in my life, and the first one that actually works! Maybe the problem with the others was my own ineptitude in using them, but that still speaks to the good design of this one. As it's a Y peeler, it works for both left- and right-handers, which is important for me as a lefty in a house full of normal people. The only thing I have to get used to is the slight serrations on the normal peeler blade. Not quite sure what the purpose of them is and you wouldn't necessarily always want what you're peeling to have these fine grooves left on the finished surface. But for that I have other peelers and as a julienne peeler, this is exactly what I wanted.
