Jurlique Rose Silk Translucent Powder Setting Powder Makeup Red 0.35 Ounce (Pack of 1)

Ok guys, if you struggle with large pores and oily skin, this little known product will become your new best friend! I’ve repurchased this product several times and I have yet to find a dupe. This product is white in the jar but completely colorless on the skin. No white cast. I believe POC could use this without having a white cast. Now, keep in mind, this has no coverage or pigment and is NOT a baking powder. This is a finishing powder. The rose scent is lovely to me, but I could see it being overpowering if you are very very sensitive to scents, but it dissipates quickly. The way I use this product is after foundation and concealer, I use a pressed powder foundation with a sponge to add more coverage to anywhere needed. Then, using the puff that is provided, I go over any areas that tend to get shiny. And for large pores like on the nose, I use the puff to really press the product in to the skin to cover the pores. Then I add a little highlighter to the tip of the nose and ta-da! What pores? Oily skin? Never heard of her! Throw it in your bag for touch ups and it will absorb the oil without disturbing your makeup.I know the price is steep but a little goes a looong way, and as us oily skinned guys and girls know how hard it is to keep oil at bay, once you find that one product that works, it’s WORTH the price. Speaking of guys, this would be a fantastic product for guys with oily skin that don’t want to wear makeup or look like they have makeup on but just want to mattify. Or a woman for that matter who doesn’t want any makeup on but has oily skin. It is white in the jar but as I said it is completely colorless on the skin. I cannot recommend this powder highly enough, truly. And if you are worried about the scent, please don’t let it dissuade you from purchasing because in this case the pros outweigh that one con by a ton. Like I said though, I love the scent and so do a lot of other reviewers, I just know some people can be very sensitive. 🥰

I wish every oily skinned person could find this product! I just didn't think a product existed that could help my terribly oily skin. My skin is so oily that by the time I finish my eye makeup after my doing my base I am already oily. Well this is it!! I use this over liquid or powder foundation as a finishing powder and I am good to go. I have tried every mattifying primer, foundation, and powder you can think of and nothing worked until now! The scent is lovely but it is very strong, but honestly I could look past anything if a product worked as well as this does, and if you're oily like me in sure you agree! I don't mind a scent but I could see this bothering someone. The packaging is nice too because there is a plastic part that snaps over the powder so the puff doesn't sit right on the holes, and the powder doesn't spill everywhere when you open it. It is so silky and finely milled, it is very lovely. I have NC20 skin and it doesn't leave me looking chalky, but I am pale so it might just match my skintone. I mention this because I know for people of color some translucent powders don't work, but I think this one would because it is so silky. I don't know if it has flashback but I don't think it does because it is rice based rather than silica based. This in conjunction with Paula's Choice Shine Stopper are my saving grace!!

Okay, so I had previously discovered this some 7-8 years ago. Then I decided to stray to other brands, like Laura Mercier, Makeup Forever and a few others I forget now. ANYWAY, I couldn't wait to finish all the others I had laying around (I'm not a wasteful person), soon as I had gone through them all, I immediately went right back to Jurlique. It's a shame they no longer make the lavender finishing powder but I settled on the "Rose" one and I'm just SO HAPPY! I have VERY oily skin and I sweat A LOT so products just drip off my face haha (slight exaggeration). This powder goes on ONE time after I finish my face and I do not need repeated touch-ups at all! Honestly, I don't know what they put into this or how they make it but it's an absolute god-send. I went out dancing the other night and when I hit the bathroom, my face didn't look like a shiny disco ball. I will keep buying this stuff FOREVER!

To start - I did NOTreceive this product for free to give a fake good review like so many other product reviews on Amazon these days. I purchased this powder and the primer I mention below with my own hard earned dollars! With that...Thank you to the other lovely reviewer who suggested this powder to pair with Paul's Choice Shine Stopper primer. The combination of these two products is holy grail level amazing for anyone with super oily skin. I apply the shine stopper primer first then with a damp beauty blender, I apply the Jurlique powder, put on my foundation and then set it with jurlique again. Yes, primer, powder, foundation, powder. Ican go a solid 5-6 hours without needing any touchup and even at the 5-6 hour mark, my foundation hasn't broken up, its just has a little sheen...totally manageable.Yes, this powder is expensive but its so worth it. I also LOVE the smell of old english roses so if that smell bothers you then I can see how this product would be a turn off. Otherwise, it's a 10/10!!

If you want something to mattify and soften your skin while not looking like you’re overly made up, this is the best finishing powder in the market. It smells beautiful and if you’re just using a CC cream or BB cream underneath rather than foundation, it gives you a lovely, translucent finish that makes you look younger and more radiant. I’ve been using this for at least 4 years straight and I don’t think anything beats it, even the more expensive powders out there.

I'm 45 and wanted a finishing powder that didn't settle in my 'fine lines'. This works very well. I don't mind the smell but I can see why some people complain about it. It's like something super flowery that your grandmother would have worn. No big deal, though, as the smell doesn't really last.

Product arrived with no seal between powder and puff. Spilled powder and clumping. Two orders and no response from seller, Amazon or Jurlique as directed by Amazon. Save your money, don’t order.Expires in April- ordered in February

Keep the skin fresh and absorb the face oil in the same time

The formula seems to have changed in some way. It used to be a bit ‘grittier’ making it better for oil absorption and mattifying.

Love this light powder and the smell is to die for

It said that using before Feb/16 but I bought it at Oct/15, I don't think I can run out of it in only half a year. However, it is a good product with strong power of oil-control and a lovely smell. Maybe I will still buy it but won't buy it here.
