My 1978 Mustang Started Up Right Away
Exactly what I needed to replace my original, Motorcraft 45 year-old module. However, this one comes with one connector that is completely different from the one in the original car wiring harness (shown in the picture). I had to purchase the female connector to replace the one in the car. It was a bit of work because it had to be soldered in so to make sure it never fails. It just required to solder it following the harness cable colors and matching them with the new module. Right after reconnecting, I was able to start up the car. I do hope this will last the next 45 years.

This was a vehicle that had sat for about 8 years. When I had parked it and it wouldn’t start a few weeks later, I tried putting fuel down the carb and no fire so it obviously didn’t have spark. Fast forward 8 years, yeah the truck hasn’t been a priority, I checked after making sure the engine hadn’t froze and sure enough no spark. Checked the coil and a few other things and couldn’t find an obvious problem so ordered this “problem” box. Installed it last evening and put a bit of fuel down the carb and Shazam, it fired when I hit the key. I’ll have it running again as soon as I have a bit of time again. Hope it isn’t 8 years from now.I’m rating this thing 4 stars just mainly because it’s stamped “made in China” on the side just like about everything else is anymore. I have no faith in it lasting long term. I guess we make nothing in the good ole USA anymore. Not good for our future.

It Works As Intended.
I purchased this ignition module for my 1978 Ford F150 because I thought that the original 41 year old unit had failed. As it turns out, the problem was the inductive pickup in the distributor, as corrosion had taken it's toll on the wiring. I had a spare in my glove box, and changed it out and he engine fired right up. Since I had already installed the new Ignition module, I left in in place. I works perfectly, so I am leaving it on there and keeping the original for a spare. Five stars because it functions as intended.

What I needed
Been suffering from random stalling and hard starts, some days no issues other days my old F150 would stall at an intersection and start right back up. thought I would try this module and so far so good, Have not had the truck stall once since I installed it and it seems to run smoother, I have a feeling its been going out for a while. When these modules go bad it's frustrating trying to troubleshoot the problem due to the random nature of the failure.

1977 Ford F-150
I’m restoring a 1977 f-150 that has been sitting for a few years and did not have spark. I narrowed the problem down to this part and this new replacement fixed the spark issue. Truck runs again and I’ve already put it back to work.
