I went back and forth trying to decide if I spend the money on this vacuum. I noticed it offered from various sellers for various prices. I finally broke down and purchased it at the lowest price, knowing if I needed to return it, it would probably be a pain and I would just be out the $100.... Well, it has far exceeded my expectations. I have only used it three times, but it is amazing! After I first charged it, I turned it on and thought this thing is going to suck. It had NO suction. Well then I was told that it had to be placed in the water for it to work. I have a 30' round above ground pool. I just mowed the land and the entire pool floor was covered in patches of dirt. This thing cleaned the entire floor in about 40 minutes. I attached it to my standard pole. I did get in the pool to use it. It is amazing. the micro bag picks up everything. It did get a little muddy and hard to dump out while still in pool, but it didn't stop it from working. The battery lasted the entire time. I figure, for the price, if it lasts me through end of next year, it's worth it! I have the expensive pool robot, but the micro bag on this works much better. The robot just stirs up the dirt and it resettles. This one sucks it up and it's gone! I highly recommend it!

Easy to use. The filter it came with is good for seeds, leaves and berries. Not so good for sand and silt. I ordered the finer mesh filter. Has not arrived yet. Would probably have given a 5 star rating had a finer filter been included. Finer filter bags were included, but were clunky to use with the included filter, particularly, if needed each time you use the vac.

After purchasing this I've given away all my other vacuums. No more hoses. No more backwashing the filter constantly. Suction is great. It's light and easy to move around the pool. I'd definitely recommend buying a good heavy duty telescoping pole. The bag is kind of small so if you let your pool go for a little while and dirt and algae build up on the bottom of your pool you'll have to stop often to clean out the bag unless you buy extra bags and clean them all after your done. My biggest complaint is the time to recharge compared to the time running. It takes about 4 hours to recharge for only about 45 minutes of run time. If you have a small pool or you maintain your pool and vacuum once or twice a week it's probably not a big deal. We have a 20ft round soft side pool with wrinkles all across the bottom that constantly made our automatic self propelled vacuum get hung up and stop moving. It was more hassle than it to just use this and do it manually.

I would not recommend this unless you want to keep replacing it every few months. Bought in August 2024 and already stopped working 6 months later. Their warranty is only 30 days for good reason. I was very careful with…it never dropped it or turned and off under water and to try and avoid water intrusion but in the end it didn’t matter. The build quality is not made to last. Screws used in areas in the motor housing are rusted. You would think they would be stainless but nope they are rusting. So that makes me suspect that it probably got water inside the motor housing or battery compartment as they aren’t properly sealed. I will take apart and post pics of the inside if they don’t offer to replace it.Very disappointed with this purchase.

I gave this only 3 stars because while it works and would normally be a 4 star, the "sand filter" bags that ship with it are terrible. You have to install them over the existing filter and it is almost impossible to install them without fear that your going to break the housing. They do a good job, but the fit of it is terrible. I've been taking care of my 26,000 gallon pool for 34 years and I have tried many things to keep my pool clean. I can say without a doubt that this little "Catfish" gets the job done.I bought my first Catfish in 2015 and after almost 10 years the battery was not holding a charge. I knew I was getting another one.I rarely hook up my 35' hose and suction line anymore. After brushing the surfaces, I let any debris settle to the bottom of the deep end overnight and zoom my Catfish around and in less than 10 minutes the pool is sparkling clean.I saw some other reviewers saying it wouldn't pick up sand or that dust was just blowing through the sides, but that is what the micro filter bags are for. They are very similar to pantyhose and will filter out the smallest debris and dust, like dead algae.I agree that the debris cup is a little small, but there are larger versions of this product available if that is what you need.I'm hoping that my new Catfish lasts as long as my old one and I'll probably buy another one after that.

I have a vinyl pool in a small yard surrounded by neighbors with big trees. As a result, I get all kinds of leaves and silt in the pool. I wanted something easy to use, lightweight, but powerful. The Catfish can clean my entire pool with one charge. It's small and the bag inside is really small. I didn't think it would work but it does. It sucks up all the leaves into that little bag. Cleaning the bag is super easy. Take it out, flip it inside out and run it under the faucet.I had read that it didn't do great with sand or dirt. It works great. I found the trick is to clean the sand first (before the leaves) and to go slow. My pool is just as clean as bigger pools I've had where you connect the hose to the pool system. But this device is so simple and effective. For a small pool or even as an "in between" cleaning for bigger pools, this is great. Very happy with the purchase.
