If you read the reviews here, pretty much the only negative ones are from people that simply don’t understand that they only need the first four letters in their passphrase. Let me repeat that; you only need the first four letters in every word in your passphrase. Once a person realizes that, this product is incredible. It won’t burn. It can’t be ripped. It probably weighs over a pound in your hand, but it’s about the size of 5 credit cards. The only security you need, after putting your personal passphrase letters into the Keystone, is to make sure no one besides you, or your trusted loved ones, can ever find it. Tape it under a shelf or drawer. Stash it in a hidden safe or safe deposit box. With this, your crypto is safe even in you lose or break your cold storage wallet. And that kind of security is priceless. You enter your own passphrase by opening the Keystone, which has four metal plates; a top and bottom plate for your first 12 words, and a top and bottom plate for the second 12 words. You unscrew the top plate with an included screwdriver, slide it out of the way and then you put your own laser etched letters into each word spot. Then you slide the top plate back into place (you can gently lift it a little bit, if it is impacting the letters as you put it back in place), screw the top plate back in, and voila. It has plenty of letters, I wasn’t even close to running out of anything. I had the entire thing setup and stashed within 15 minutes of opening the package. Highly recommend.

Exactly as advertised. I'm going to try and address some of the more negative reviews: 1. There is a major screw that the device pivots on, OBVIOUSLY this screw is not meant to be removed. The model I got seemed to be a refresh as it had more screws the original model. 2. Yes, the screwdriver does NOT fit the actual screws you need to remove. If you have a small screw driver set or a computer screwdriver, chances are you have the correct bit for the job, just go through each one and size the screw head until there's no give on the male/female connection. 3. For those who don't understand BIP wallets, the first 4 letters will ALWAYS represent one and only one word. That is why we can shorten each word without worrying about remembering the whole word. Other then the non-functional screw driver, perfect product, would and will buy again if I ever get a 3rd wallet with a 12+ seed phrase

Superb product. Better built than other wallets I have costing twice as much. This is a solid price of steel. Nice craftsmanship all around. Classic design with easy removal of cover plate. They also ship the screw driver and some extra screws which is nice. The letters are superbly packaged making them easy to punch out for your recovery phrase. Letter tiles also have a deep engraving for the letters. (I’ve purchased others that feel like the letter could rub off). Also ships with tamper evident security sticker to know nobody has opened your wallet. You can stop looking and click “buy now”. This thing is legit. (I just purchased for the 3rd time)

This is a great product and very high quality. The only problem I have with it is the little screwdriver that comes with it is not a correct fit for the little screws. You have to push the screwdriver head hard into the screw to get it to grip properly. It worked out fine for me as I’m handy with things like that. But for anyone that’s not handy I could see this been difficult to do. But all in all I’m very pleased, as I said excellent quality and if you take a little care with the screws you’ll be fine. There is absolutely no need to pay $100 upwards for other wallets like this. This is as good of quality you can buy at a very very reasonable price. To the seller: you should upgrade the screwdriver to a perfect fit for the little screws, apart from that this product is 100%. Thank you 👍🏽

I had zero issues adding my seed phrase to this item, which was incredibly quick and easy to do. Just unscrew a few screws, flip out the side you’re working on, pop the desired letters from the letter sheet, and add your phrase. It seems built well and I have no doubts that I’ll serve it’s purpose well and would survive fires, floods, etc. My only nitpick is that it differs from the photo and doesn’t look as clean as the design shown. Instead of the clean smooth design, there are several screw holes around the edges the face/back of the device, with some of the screws being just a bit too long and protruding through. Not an issue for me really, but if you’re going to be storing this in a cloth bag or something where the protruding screws could snag on something it could be quite annoying. Overall, it’s still a great value and I’d buy it again since the main thing is build quality and survivability - which this seems to be built well for.

Quite simply it is what it is. A steel casing to hold your seed phrase no matter how many words. It's a little time consuming to enter all the letters into the vault (especially if you're 24 words like me) but again, once you're done it'll last centuries in storage. Where you store it is up to you. I personally purchased this as part of my estate planning. When I'm gone, whatever is left of my crypto will have to go to somebody. This keystone vault can simply be given to the recipient and they can use it to restore a BIP 39 wallet of their choosing. Simple. It's a small price to pay to pass on your legacy to multiple generations on a family heirloom that is a crypto seed that you built and invested in yourself for those you care about. Keep it safe. Keep it hidden. Keep it locked up until the day comes you need it or it's passed on to those you seem worthy.

The construction of this product is a joke. I dont understand how they could mess up screws. The screwdriver that's included is not the right size and strips the screws. Some of the screws are not even the right size. So, I have to go to home depot and spend more money for the right screws. If they cant get 4 pieces of metal and some screws right I'm really skeptical about their hardware wallet.

A fantastic way to keep your keys. The images aren't really clear about how this works, so I'll explain. This device consists of several laser-cut steel plates. There are two outer plates and two inner plates. The inner plates are each secured to the outer plate by several screws in the corners, three on one plate, and two on the other (plus a locking pin that fits into a tab on the opposite pair of plates. The inner plates have laser-cut holes in three rows which provide visibility to the letters underneath, in addition to numbers from 1-12 and 13-24. The outer plates have laser cut slots for holding the individual letter tiles. The letter tiles arrive "floating" in their parent steel sheet, affixed to two pieces of transparent plastic film with a gentle adhesive applied. The two plate sets will face each other when closed, and rotate about the corner pin to open. There is a single tamper-evident sticker provided to seal the device after the seed letters are put in place. The seed words are entered with the first four letters (or a reversed tile for three letter words). Hefty, cold, and simple. A big hunk of steel to protect your crypto seeds. Good stuff, but could use better photography and videos online.

Oui il n'y a que 4 lettres par mot, mais ce n'est pas un problème puisque qu'il suffit des 4 premières lettres pour différencier les mots. Je le trouve très bien mais attention, c'est difficile à installer les lettres dans les rails et il ne faut pas sortir toutes les lettres des plaquettes au début. J'ai suivi les conseils des commentaires sur Amazon pour bien gérer l'installation des lettres dans les rails. Une fois installé et fermé, c'est top, propre et solide. Pensez bien à le cacher et à donner l'indication de la cachette à votre notaire ;-)

La marca recientemente cambió de nombre de cobo a keystone, sin embargo esto no ha mermado la calidad del producto; la billetera tiene capacidad para 24 palabras mnemónicas iniciando por las 4 primeras letras, ya sea 2 llaves privadas (seed phrase de 12 palabras) BIP-39 ó 1 llave privada de una seed phrase de 24 palabras. La construcción es de alta calidad, es muy sencillo de configurar el wallet, cuenta con 5 tornillos por lado para atornillar, ya cuenta con un desarmador y cuenta con 2 tornillos de repuesto así como 2 sellos de tipo etiqueta. Considero que este wallet es un artículo imprescindible para los que usamos wallet, ya sea de software o de hardware. Recomiendo al 100% este producto.

It's a nice product but the screw driver provided is too soft to unscrew and screw the nuts. Modified with bigger screws would improve this product greatly.

Quick, Easy to set up, and great quality. For all the 1 star reviews complaining about the screw not coming out, or the screwdriver being too small... You're not supposed to remove that one, it literally says that in the instructions online and in the amazon listing... That one's a pivot point and is fused to the axle. Follow the instructions, open it up, and the smaller screws inside holding each plate shut are easy to take out with the tools provided
