Speakers Dual XLR Female Connectors, Stainless Steel Wall Plate

It works well. Very Pleased.

It's about 60 / 40 with DEFECTIVE items from Amazon. But the XLR Plate itself works just fine once I got one that wasn't defective.

Like another reviewer, I had problems removing the protective film. Maybe the film adhesive had been on too long or maybe it got really hot in transit, but it was very hard to get off as the film would break rather than peel. Once I had the bright idea to use a heat gun on it the problems went away. Once hot the film peeled right off! The only other problem I have with these plates is that they are designed for the connector to be mounted to the front of the plate. This makes it a huge PITA to swap a plate for whatever reason since you have to de-solder the connectors. I was able to mount the connector to the back of the plate and it works OK, but the cables can be a bit hard to disconnect since the release lever is almost too short for this configuration. Overall I'm happy with these, but a slight redesign would be welcome. They look very nice and function very well in their standard configuration.

Arrived with protective adhesive film in place. That would be great because it keeps the plate looking unblemished and prevents small scratches, BUT!! To completely remove the film one must completely dis-assemble the wall plate! Both plugs have to be removed by removing the 4 screws and then the whole thing re-assembled. The whole issue could have been avoided with simple packaging changes.

It’s a wall plate. With female XLRs in. Everything works, not too much more I can say about it. We had a box on a wall where somebody 30 years ago had installed a wall plate with male XLRs, which was entirely wrong and inverted from the way things should be. We got tired of using adapters and so bought this.
