Apple Barrel Pouring Medium, 44840E Acrylic, 16 oz, 16 Fl Oz

If there was a Nat'l paint with acrylics day, it would be with Apple Barrel matte paints. I have used many craft acrylic paints, but this is my favorite brand. Mixing for various lights and darks is a breeze as they blend smoothly. Works well on every medium I have used, especially standard gesso canvas. Quality is medium, but can have an added gel for thickness, if desired, for texture. As an acrylic, it dries very fast. As stated before, you can add gel for texture or water for transparency. I have used Apple Barrel for over 25 years was worth every penny. Use them. Have fun with them. Create!

I wanted to try a different medium for pour painting, so I purchased this. I have been using water or floetrol (or a combo) and pouring masters medium . This medium works nicely. I did have to adjust my ratios a smidge, but I ended up eye-balling it and it worked fine. Doesn't seem to dry any quicker than the other mediums used, so that was good. Kept the color quality of the acrylic paint mixed in.

I love the color choices. And acrylic paints last a long time if properly enclosed in these kinds of containers. I do have to say that they sent me the wrong set of paints but replaced them after I contacted Amazon. However, due to some sort of mix-up they sent me an email asking for me to return the paints they sent me, but I had already used them before I realized they were the wrong ones. I am a ceramic artist and have hundreds of paints and just assumed the ones I received were the right ones. Bottom line, it's all squared away now and I am very happy with this product. I have bought Apple Barrel paints at various craft stores for years and they make a great variety of colors. These paints are not just for beginners. They are for anybody who uses acrylic paints for any reason. Beginners and Pros, alike.

Item arrived quicker than projected. The colors all match the picture. The only thing I would take note of is that they are supposably all a mix of matte and regular acrylic paint, and the picture doesn’t accurately depict which will be matte. In fact, I think mine were labeled the opposite of the picture. The price is not too bad. I have gotten this same set for $12 during the Christmas season at Walmart. However, that is not a guaranteed item to find nor would it be that price if you bought each individual paint outright. Buying this paint, even at this price, is cheaper than buying it individually so I am still very satisfied with my purchase.

This is a very nice assortment of colors suitable for any project. The two ounce plastic containers have a pop open screw down top and come sealed with a plastic wrap around the cap and you get 18 different colors. No white or black but you get 3 reds, 4 browns, 1 yellow, 3 greens, 2 blues, 4 purples, and 1 gray. The colors are named: flamenco red, tuscan red, pink parfait, chocolate bar, antique parchment, lite mocha, khaki, sunny day, palm leaf, lime tree, English ivy green, admiral blue, laguna, petunia purple, lilac mint, velvet crush, purple pansy, pavement This set has completely different colors than the other best selling colors set I called PROMOABI so if you buy both sets you get 36 different colors. I purchased both sets and it is a great combination..
