I ordered this to replace a 20 year old Rockford Fosgate subwoofer. I didn't need much punch, just something to add some bass to an SUV. I read the reviews, and was a bit nervous...especially the comment about this speaker not working well on rock/metal, which is what I listen to mostly. I bought this anyway due to the price. When I got it and installed it, I was immediately disappointed - it sounded like CRAP! I got worried that my little 80-Watt Rockford Fosgate Punch amp (also 20 years old) wasn't up to the task, and I would have to replace that as well. I put it off. Over the next 3 weeks, this subwoofer sounded better and better...it was getting broken in! Now it was sounding a little bit better than my old subwoofer, I was amazed! I read in the instruction manual about the perfect enclosure being a sealed 1 cubic foot box for this subwoofer. My enclosure/box was almost double that, and not sealed really well. I decided to get a box that was exactly 1 cubic foot in volume. THAT made all the difference! Now this thing sounds like a soundcheck at a Megadeth concert! Could not be happier! So, if you have any doubts about this cheap subwoofer, or that you might be underpowering it with a low power amp if you already bought it, fear not! In my SUV, this thing gives you a kick in the pants...you definitely FEEL the bass with this, even with an 80-watt amp! Hope this helps someone!

i ordered this sub just to have something until my kicker sub came in. hooked it up to a 1500 mono PA amp. done proper break in time sounded great for 40 bucks then i cranked up the gain bumped up the head unit bass and then it happened. blew it. my fault but you get what you pay for. until that point thou it sounded really good, it would shake the truck.. if your on a tight budget and space this will do just fine. just keep it under the required RMS.

I bought this speaker not knowig what to expect. It was cheap, thin, and light. All which made me think, weak sound. This speaker is nice. Not gonna be competition ready but great in any situation not just low space requirements. The manual says this speaker best performs in a 1.0 cubic ft enclosure. I made a thin box that happened to be 1.2 and it sounds awsome. Exceeded my expectations. I was only looking for something decent but more importantly, cheap. This think sounds good. Buy with confidence. Also, I can't atest to the longevity though.

This is a great product. I have never bought any sound equipment and dint know what to expect. I thaught these would be cheap and not be very good. Cheap subs that sound equally as cheap..

Yeah its a sub, nice and small for a truck enclosure except it recently started rattling. now this could be because the box isnt big enough (.56) which would be my fault (its all that would fit in my truck) but im skeptical

not too good, dosent hit the lows real well and now something rattles inside, cheap sub i should have expected it. at first it sounded great though!

Hab den Sub in nem Audi 80 B4 ohne teilbare Rückbank verbaut und war Anfangs sehr skeptisch ob das flache Ding freeair durch den Schaumstoff der Rückbank drücken kann. ER KANN! Dabei nimmt er im Kofferraum kaum Platz weg. Qualitativ und klanglich gibts meinerseits nichts zu beanstanden, somit kann ich den Sub, vor allem für den Preis, nur empfehlen!
