Will this survive the Texas heat during summers? Looking for a long term solution to fix the dash cam back.

If this product can survive the hot sun in Florida (although we have a windshield sunshade in our RV), it can survive in Texas! We also cover it over with a towel. Great product!!

Are the disks made out of plastic or metal?

Slick smooth like glass plastic so the suction cup on gps will stick and can clean easily

Can they stack on each then attach device in other to add height?

Yes I am sure they can but they are not very thick might get you 1/8th-1/4 inch if that. I wouldn't do a bunch of them to gain height

Item works great.

I have a TomTom GPS which works better than my phone as incoming calls don't remove my route at critical moments. However the mount that attaches to my GPS won't hold the lock that attaches to the windshield. It is difficult to replace. But this eliminates the problem for me.

Great for mounting our gps

Loved these. We bought these to use in our Semi truck. We lost the one we got with our Rand McNally. We have a 7' one. Pretty heavy. This little pad stuck to our dash on the angle textured side close to the windshield. So far (about 3 weeks later) it's still sticking. We've taken the gos on and off of it a couple times (while in. Breakdown status when truck was turned in). It still sticks. I used alcohol to wipe the area down before placing it to stick on the dash and we waited 24hrs to let it adhere the best it could. Love this. The only reason I didn't give a complete 5 stars only because it doesn't lay completely flush. It's barely perceptible and as I said it is on the textured slanted area of the dash. So I'm sure that's why. We're just OCD. But still it works great. If we weren't so OCD we'd never even have noticed.

Really powerful

My Garmin 1090 (10" screen weighs 18+ ounces) would not stick to my dash plate. I found this on Amazon and since it would adhere to rough surfaces, I thought I'd give it a try. I followed the easy instructions and leaned a 5lb weight on it overnight. Stuck the Garmin on it and it held over the 2 weeks we were on the rode in the RV. We hit bumps hard enough that detached the Garmin from its magnetic base, but the Dashboard Pad Mounting Disk held steadfast...Going to buy another one...

I have been using these plates for about 18 months and are still sticking.

I have been using this sticky disc for about 18 months in my car, and it is still sticking. The surface where I am using the disc is very slightly curved, plastic and just a bit bumpy (not completely smooth).
