I use a flat iron is this better to use and if so does it really act as a hair dryer too

Do not use this brush on wet hair. It would be like putting a flat iron on wet hair. You would pop the follicles in your hair and it would break off. Only use on completely dry hair.

Would this be suitable for a 10 yr old to use? She likes her hair straight but likes to do it herself.
