I had some clear acrylic panels that I wanted to cut to size to build something different with and this little knife did the job. It's along the same lines as a glass cutter in terms of difficulty to use. If you are careful and apply the proper pressure, you can cut a straight line. I'm not very good at either but I managed to get my cuts done properly and my project turned out great.

Purchased to cut acrylic sheeting. Very effective. Is a challenge to use as you must apply pressure to score the acrylic, however, when pressure is applied the back end of the knife starts to detach. For safety you have to keep stopping to re-secure the back end of the handle. One should use clamps to hold the straight edge you are cutting against, again, for safety. Gets a little challenging to use with only 2 hands...

I do a lot of construction with EPVC board and had been using an xacto knife to cut pieces. Too much pressure and the blade snaps; too little and it takes forever to cut 1/4 inch sheet. With this tool it's easy to score the line, then follow it reliably without also holding a ruler - so much less complicated. Plus it makes quick work of the cutting so it's a lot less effort.

We installed acrylic panels on the outside of a screen room for the winter. We needed to cut a couple of the sheets in half. It worked perfect

This product is so bad, the bladencannot retract, and the handle falls apart with minimal force. This product is a hazard. Do not buy.

The yellow end piece of the handle would fall apart when pressure is applied. Also, the very sharp cutter blade can not be retracted into the handle. and always pose as a safety hazard.

It does a good work when I cut acrylic
