Comfy
I bought these as a work shoe, which means they are worn every day for many hours. I was very pleased that they did not rub my feet and have been comfortable from the beginning.A great shoe at a great price.

2 Years later and it is still holding up well
I have owned these shoes for nearly two years and have exclusively worn them during that entire length of time. I had bought them in August 2022. I have worn them in nearly all terrain, even in parks, though only on dry footpaths (for muddy fields you would need wellies or boots).Yes, the soles have worn considerably which is why I have bought another pair. But after two years they still offer adequate cushioning for my feet, nor are there holes with my feet showing through. The leather is soft and pliable straight out of the box. I did not have to wear them in at all. I am planning on wearing these until there is nothing left beneath my foot, at which point I will wear my new pair.Another Clarkes shoe (Batcombe Wing Brogues) left my heels red and raw after walking in them for twenty minutes to the shops and back. I even had a scab on my left heel for a couple of days afterwards. The leather comprising that shoe was as hard as wood. But not so with these. The soles are a great balance between flexible and hardwearing. They don't clop around like horse's hooves. And they are light. I hardly notice them when they are on. It is almost like wearing trainers.I like the elegant, understated look very much. Yes they are not goodyear welts or full leather soles but nobody really cares, in fact I doubt anybody knows what those terms are. They look good, they are comfortable, they are affordable, and they are long lasting. They won't last forever but then again neither will I, and a new pair only costed me £35, which is the same amount (actually I would think less nowadays) to have goodyear welts re-soled. What more could you want?I am only knocking a star off because the laces for my new pair were threaded in an odd way, making it difficult to tighten them. But I simply re-threaded them according to how they were in my old shoes.

Comfortable and well made at not a high price
There was nothing to dislike. Clarks are a great product especially if you know your size. I always buy Clarks shoes because I know what I am getting - well fitting shoes that will last a while at not too high a price. I highly recommend the products made by Clarks.

Very poor quality sole
These are comfy shoes, but there are two serious flaws which make these likely the worst shoes i have ever owned. The main issue is the rubber sole. I bought these in March and have worn them since May. In three months of wearing them 2-3 days a week the front of the sole is ruined from where i have caught my foot and the heel is wearing away. This is Exacerbated by the second flaw, which is the very long toe, leaving an inch of space. I will be wary of buying Clarks again.

Good shoes
With Clark’s sizes you have to order one or one and half size down. So I am size 7.5 but I have to order a 6.5 to fit properly. But this shoes are not wide enough, it is tight for those with wide feet.

Excellent quality and value for money.
I never wear black shoes but had to buy a pair for a funeral so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that would get absolute minimum wear. When they arrived (within four days to Ireland) I was both surprised by the comfort and pleased with the quality of the shoe. I wore them all day and felt as if I were walking on cushions. They are now put away and (I hope) won't see the light of day for a while yet.
