The Mask of Power: Spyro Versus the Mega Monsters #1 (Skylanders Universe)

I gave these as a gift to my 7 year old nephew for his birthday. He was VERY happy with them. They were the exact level of reading I was aiming for and therefore as described.

I have read the second in this series. I'm not here to spoil anything. This book was awesome. I am a Skylanders fan. I loved the adventure in the book. That's not the only thing that makes me think it's awesome, though! There is so much that makes me think this book is epic that I won't even say one of them because that would take too long. If you haven't read this but you are a Skylanders fan, I recommend this book for you. If you have read it and loved it like I did, I have one question to ask you. WASN'T IT EPIC?

The best part in this book is all of it. I don't really have a favorite character in this book. Girls might like this book. Boys will definitely like it, because I'm a boy and I like it. You should pick this book up off the shelf because it's a great book."

my 10 year old son has hounded me to get every one of these skylanders books. Not sure if it is really great, or just great because it is the flavour of the moment. He loves it and re-reads it so I can't complain.

I bought this for my son because he loves the Skylanders characters but I am not a fan of buying a ton of video games. This is perfect for him. He loves to read about the Skylanders and use his imagination afterwards to continue the storylines with his toys in his room. It helps him get excited about reading and sparks his imagination. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

This book actually kept me interested as I read it to my son each night for a week or so as his bedtime story. The thing I like about all the Skylanders books is that they encourage my six year old to learn how to read on his own so he can read the Skylanders stories himself sometime soon.

My son (just turned 9) read this in a day and went online to order book 2. He is a huge Skylanders fan and an avid reader, so he was excited to get his hands on it. Sadly, book two is only available as an e-book, which we ordered because he was anxious to read it.

It was well written and added personalities to the characters I play with on one if my favorite video games. I enjoyed the story line so much that I've decided to spend my dad's money on the second book in the series. I can't wait to start reading book two!

Glad to have got at least some of the skylander books from amazon!! And at a good price anyway..... my son will love it when he gets it for Christmas, he's so far read the first 2 and the stories are good, fair to follow and good size writing with some pictures too. Great for skylanders lovers. Hope to collect them all for him

I read this with my Grandson --he reads one chapter I read the next, it's the second book in the series we've read & he just wants to keep reading ....

Kids will love this story, how can they not it has magical characters, and locations like the Stinky Swamp. My kids have got a good laugh about that, and other such things. Skylands is under attack from giant monsters. Spyro and the other Skylanders seem powerless to stop these over grown monstrosities, luckily Koas comes to the rescue. Could the arch villain really have turned over a new leaf? Also why? Personally I would have liked a bit more action in the story but it was not aimed at me. An all round good story with plenty of guest stars, child humour to keep kids interested. If you have Skylanders crazy kid (mine aged 7 and 4) they will love this book.

Great writing style- witty and exciting. Onk Beakman always seems to write a good skylanders story and he doesn't disappoint once again. Convenient length of chapters for reading to the kids and so they don't get overwhelmed when reading themselves
