Great for what I need
Works great! I wanted a light to help me reset my circadian rhythm and it appears to be working. Size and shape make it easy to set up. I travel with it by packing the light and power cable in my suitcase. Light has several settings, which makes it more customizable for your needs. IDK about longevity, but it seems to be a well made light.

This is the model to buy!
I'll be honest I sort of love everything about it. It 'feel's incredibly well-built. The brightness and overall controls are exactly what I wanted, and most of all it has a "...countdown timer that is programmable up to 1 hour, in 5-minute increments." The ability to easily control the countdown timer and not be locked into weird preset options is a great feature.

Zombie Apocalypse Prevention
The winter time has always hit me like a ton of bricks. Come late-November, I start to feel like a walking zombie. I sleep way more.. but don't feel more well-rested. When I am awake, much of the time I function at a sub-optimal state.I've been using a Vitamin D light for over a decade now. The pills just don't do anything for me. I've read that humans are designed to absorb much of our Vitamin D from photoreceptors on the top of our eyes (i.e. the sun). There's a lot of back-and-forth regarding the subject of vitamin D, how much of it we need, how to best obtain it, and even which lights are effective at treating SAD.All I know is that for the past 10 years, when I turn on my light it's like a switch goes on in my brain that says 'awaken from your slumber'. Are winters still tough on me? Yes. Much this vitamin D light is a useful part of my arsenal to make the best of it while I have to.The only thing which may beam brighter than the light itself is the integrity of the company selling it. I recall opening the package in March 2022, and being pleasantly surprised with the paperwork accompanying the light. I tend to overthink purchases like this. Veriluxe went above and beyond to display the 3 year complete warranty of the product, along with all sorts of contact numbers and statements of reassurance. Low and behold, I had to call customer service yesterday evening because the charge port pin snapped off in the unit. This was accidental damage, 100% caused by my carelessness in maneuvering the light. It's a USB-C connection port. I tried other type-C chargers, but the unit still doesn't power on. Without hesitation, they sent me a replacement charge kit, and told me to follow up immediately if I still had any difficulty after receiving it.Very happy all the way around.

Longtime SDA light user. Love the updates.
I've been using a SAD light for most dark seasons for the past decade+. This year, I treated myself to an upgraded verilux HappyLight. The difference between my original verilux HL and this new one is...wait for it...like night and day (HAHAHAHA!!!!!) My old verilux is a monster. It's approx 10" x 14" and 2" deep, with a fluorescent tube in it and no light frequency or light intensity adjustment. It was quite spendy, too (~$100, also on Amazon). However, it was also the least affordable option that would put out a sufficient intensity of light to be therapeutic. So, it worked great from a therapeutic perspective, but was also big and clunky.Fast forward to 2023 and post-space Bezos. This new verilux addresses all of the old light's shortcomings and then some. First, it's much smaller and sleeker than the old light, about the same dimensions as a large tablet - I think it's got an LED light inside - while still pumping out therapeutic amounts of light. This makes it much, much easier to set up and put away each morning.I also appreciate the fact that the frequency and intensity of the light can be adjusted. With the old light, I always spent the first week or so of the dark season heeling like my retinas and brain were getting a little toasted. I used to think that that was just part of getting used to the light again. With this new one, I was able to start with a lower intensity for the first few days and gradually build up to full strength brightness. I started with the whitest light freq with no problems, but could see how starting with a less-white freq would also help with dialing the treatment in gradually over a few days.My one - SUPER MINOR - critique is with the timer. I do love the fact that it has a timer. However, I think the timer settings are limited: No timer, 5 min, 10 min, 15 min, 60 min. I would like the product even more if there were more increments between 15 min and 60 min. Also, this new light was much less cheaper (~$65, also on Amazon) than the original one.
