Great Shore Diving Boot
Great dive boot. Based upon 1 week of Bonaire shore diving (15 dives total): vents completely cleared boot of water immediately upon exit; little sand and salt that entered top of boot was easily rinsed out, though some caught inside the ankle had to be teased out by hand; boot dried quickly (completely dry after a few hours in the sun and less if worn full time); provided insole is great for diving and amphib (solid rubber does not retain water); traction is solid with exception of algae-covered rocks; sand did not enter through vents at all; toe box worked well for me; size 10W worked well with size XL ScubaPro Go Sport Diving Fin, was too large for size XL ScubaPro Jet Diving Fin (jammed against side of foot box and strap would not pull over heel). Some minor stitching loosened along side of boot sole - I have since coated the seems with shoe glue to prevent further fraying and recommend same upon receipt to prevent problems. I used with Yobel branded neoprene dive socks sold by Janedream on Amazon - worked great together - easy on and off. With the dive sock, gave about the same insulation as a 3mm dive boot, which is to say, not much. I like the multi-cam black, but would have gone with the gray color as a better fit with my scuba gear. I also plan to use them for Scouting America's Northern Tier canoe adventure next summer, though I may get the 8-in height, if it becomes available at a good price. Solid boot for the price.

Very durable and very comfortable, even in the cold.
As an Army Veteran I have nothing but praise for these shoes. I currently have two pairs, lows and mids. Being that this review is for the mids, I will refrain from mentioning too much about the lows. First off is the durability. I still train today very hard with range drills (desert terrain, rocks, cactus, ect.) and these shoes have shown no signs of wear with the exception of some deep scratches on the bottom of the soles. They have been through hot dry conditions, wet, sand, mud, snow and just about everything else and have kept my feet comfortable and protected with the exception of the snow, but neoprene socks are the key to that. They dry quickly, and wash very easily in either a washing machine, or just wear them in the shower. Secondly, they are very comfortable. I have worn boots from Bates, Belleville and 5.11 and naturally they are heavy. These are lighter than most running or cross trainer shoes, and reduce felt fatigue on the top of the foot, calves and ankles. The padding at the top of the shoes keeps dirt and mud out while maintaining comfort without blisters. The rubber insoles do not provide much arch support much like Converse shoes, however they are easy to remove and swap with insoles that provide support if needed. The upside of the rubber insoles is they dry quickly, preventing the shoes from retaining sweat and smelling like roadkill after several consecutive range days in 100+ degree weather. The appearance of the shoes doesn't not scream "tacticool", and retain a more conservative appearance than anything. The multicam and black multicam print is not heavily pronounced, but neither has seemed to fade or distort in anyway. As far as shoes are concerned, I will not purchase another brand and am waiting for my kids to grow into the appropriate sizes as these will outlast any big brand tennis shoes by leaps and bounds.

Excellent Quality, drain well. too narrow.
I love these boots, nice quality. very comfy for a short while . i bought them for Scuba diving. They drain well, and look that they don't feel soggy when wet. They are too narrow for my feet, so cannot wear them for a 2 dive day. If they were for any other purpose, i would go 1 size up.

Fantastic, but a mixed bag
I had to return the first pair due to the stitching on the soles fraying and falling out within the first couple of wears. The second pair, however, seem to be holding up perfectly. They’re incredibly lightweight yet feel rugged and sturdy nonetheless. I tested them out in a river and they dried out completely within about twenty minutes (socks and all). They definitely run hot, so they’re not ideal for the summertime but I very much look forward to wearing them all throughout the rest of the year. Overall, I think that they’re great at what they’re intended to be. As other reviews have stated; the quality seems to be inconsistent, but a pair that passes QC is definitely worth the price.

Overall a Great Shoe
I ordered the all Black size 11 high tops, and right away I loved the look, and after a brief period of breaking them in +/- about a week or 2, maybe a little more, they feel great! I would / will order them again, as I like them a lot. Yeah they are a little bit expensive. But if after a year theyre still holding up to how I rough up and wear out sneakers, I will will consider it worth it. They definitely have a Great non-slip sole, and even non-slip insoles, so your feet do not slip around while wearing them (for if you went swimming in them, since that's what they're designed for it makes sense to have a non slip insole). Now at first I thought the toe box was going to be a little too tight, and for a week it seemed that way, and sadly considered returning them to exchange for the wide size, but I had already wore them outside, and figured I'd just deal with it. And I'm glad I kept this size and width, because now they're not tight at all. They fit perfectly, and as you continue to wear them, the full covered rubberized toe guard breaks in and softens up nicely, just give it time. If after 3 weeks or a month they still feel tight well then, maybe you needed the wide version. I plan to buy other colors and styles. Altama might just be my new go to brand for rugged sneakers.

Great shoes for water activities
I got these to take to the Outer Banks to use in the sound, and they performed quite well. I took a fairly long hike, both in and out of the water, and they were comfortable and shed water easily from the side drainage holes. I did add some Lycra dive socks to help prevent chafing and I think they are a worthwhile addition, as they add very little bulk and dry quickly. Overall I am very happy with these, as they kept me from having to worry about stepping on any stingrays or random detritus.

Great boots
Great boots. Fit can be a bit tight with socks but once you get them broken it the almost disappear. I found getting them wet then putting a few miles on them broke them right in.

Short break in period for comfort!
This is an update review! I almost sold these! They were a little tight on my toes but very comfortable otherwise and I just couldn't get over the tightness on my toes I did order my regular size and was thinking maybe I should have ordered a size up. I love the look of them I like the feel of them other than the toes so I forced myself to wear them once in a while hoping that they would break in and adjust and they did! They're actually very comfortable now and toes have wiggle room and it's not tight anymore. So if you're like me and you have normal man feet let them break in like a good pair of jeans. I'm glad I didn't sell mine. Take note that they do offer wide selections as opposed to their normal ones I have been wearing Keen boots for a while and my feet have adjusted to The wider toe box and it's very comfortable so if you do wear Keen boots and you want a seamless comfortable experience go with the wide but if you're willing to go with the slim profile shoe and allow a break in period hit up the regular. After breaking in mine are very comfortable and I'd say they are true to size. Well worth the money I'm glad I gave them a chance
