Dremel 684-01 20-Piece Cleaning & Polishing Rotary Tool Accessory Kit with Case - Includes Buffing Wheels, Polishing Bits, and Polishing Compound

In the set there are 2 or 3 nylon bristle brushes and a steel brush. 3 grinding wheels. A dozen or so felt tips that fit on to another piece that is then stuck in to the machine. This is the best piece in the entire set for polishing Dremel 520 Polishing Wheel . It is a rubbing compound and buffer combined. I bought another one of theses as soon as I wore the first one out. So if you are touching up something that has already been polished this kit is for you. If you have something that you want to polish and it is bigger than a deck of cards...then you might need more than one of these sets because none of the pieces last for a very long time. Also, polishing takes practice. If you have never polished anything before I think it is more difficult than it looks so depending on what your going to polish you may want to practice on something of lesser value first ( I didn't and wish I did ). Not to sound like a safty inspector but it is a good idea to wear some sort of saftey glasses, I wore reading glasses which worked good enough. However, when I was using the metal brush I got a piece of it stuck in my face, just below my nose. I didn't notice until I touched it a few hours later when my finger was on its way up to dig for gold. I thought to my self that sharp little peice of metal really hurts, I'm glad its not stuck in my bloody eye. I dont have a Dremel,I have a RotoZip RZ01-1300 120 Volt Spiral Saw Kit . Take care to avoid letting anything other than the polishing tip touch the piece that your polishing. It can leave a nasty mark. Then you have to start all over again on that spot which , is another reason to practice first. One more thing. A vise that attaches to your table or work bench will come in very handy. I did a quick search on amazon and I was surprised to see how inexpensive some of them were. Definitely worth it!

Positive points: - This kit is very, very useful for cleaning and polishing. The pieces have adequate build quality and tips made of felt come in good number so you have spares as they get worn out (please take a look at Product Details for a list of pieces that come in this kit). There are both nylon and steel brushes and each is adequate for certain kinds of jobs. - Polishing compound: it is included and comes in good quantity. It yields very good results.; - The case is nice and made of plastic with an acrylic lid. Be advised that there are little plastic parts and assembly manuals hidden under the panel so you can compose a final case with divisions for the pieces. This is neat. Just look at the back of the case for assembly instructions. Negative points: - It is just a shame that Dremel does not include usage procedures or hints on when to use each kind of tip. This could come as a small user's guide so you could take most of your Dremel tool. You have to rely on YouTube videos to make sure you are using everything correctly. Polishing must be done correctly so you don't damage your artifact. There are hints when polishing: applying the right amount of compound, usage of water to cool the artifact being polished, tool speed, etc. - Polishing compound container opening is not big enough to dip certain tips (e.g. felt disk)

I used this kit along with a polish on an older Movado watch that my wife has. The case and metal band had lots of scratches. Nothing particularly deep but it looked old and worn. I've never tried this before, but after using this kit and some polish the watch looks nearly brand new or at the very least TONS better! The metal shined right up and most of the scratches are gone. My wife was pleased and started wearing this watch again. Total win!

This is a review of the Dremel 20-PIece Clean and Polish Kit. This kit is more expensive than similar kits from other manufacturers but is worth the extra premium. This was purchased specifically to restore some good but abused kitchen knives. The set includes brushes and polishing wheels that work well against different stainless steels. It was tested against a 440C blade. The polishing wheel did an excellent job of removing deeper scratches and dings. Following up with the buffing wheel with the included polishing compound produced a mirror finish. If you search online, there are similar kits non-Dremel ranging in price from $4 to $10. I had purchased two other kits thinking that these attachments are so simple that it was essentially impossible to screw them up. Alas, not so. Though the buffing wheels worked without issue, there was noticeable wobble in the brushes and grinding wheel that made those pieces useless.Even though this Dremel kit is more, in this case you do get what you pay for.

Admittedly I should have read the description more closely but I had the expectation that all of the items in the description were included. That it was a set that did everything and had a dremel included. I’ve never bought or priced a dremel before so didn’t think that it would be impossible to get one for this cheap. But either way I’m lucky a friend gave me their dremel and the attachments fit and they work. So A+ for functionality just wish the description was clearer

I mostly purchased to cut through some plastic I wanted to modify. I was initially disappointed as I thought it had a disk to cut with but didn't see one in the kit. There is a brown thin disk that feels kind of sandpaper like, it ended up working for cutting! Just know that this kit is more for polishing and sanding things, you need to buy a seperate kit for cutting. There are no instructions on how to change any of the attachments so I had to mess around with it till I figured it out. Over all, very happy with my purchase!

this is a pretty good product for the price, It will do the work and more what you are expecting because the product is liable for what you need it. I will recommend it for further purchases.
