I was looking for a small, lightweight, packable floorlamp for reading, as I have discovered over years of travel that light in most hotel rooms, condos, etc. Is designed usually for ambiance and not for reading. I am in my mid- 70's and need a good strong reading light. After trying many options including carrying my own light bulbs to replace the dimmer ones in lamps (!), and trying headlamps, too uncomfortable for any length of time, too focused on a "spot", and needing to be recharged or new batteries, I sought a floor lamp to take along. It had to be very quick and easy to assemble, very lightweight and sleek design w/o bulk, no need to charge, and no remote to keep track of. I was doubtful about the sturdiness of this one but decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the quality and how easy it was to assemble and use. The box it came in fits nicely in my duffle bag with other gear. Only two things caught me a bit by surprise: Assembled, it was shorter than I had expected, but that turned out to be a good thing. Sitting in a reading chair or on a couch with my lamp set up by my side, the long narrow light bar sits about level with my forehead, rather than shining down from above. Thus, no light in my eyes and no heat from a strong lamp over my head. Because the light is a long bar rather than a single "spot" it is dispersed evenly across the entire reading surface. The other "downside" to this marvelous little workhorse is the decision to use a USB connection rather than a regular wall plug, which means you must have a converter, not included. Of course most people have such devises with them to charge their cell phones, and/or a computer you can plug it into, or find themselves in a place which has provided a lamp or clock offering such connections. But it is something to keep in mind. Also, the cord is not very long and the two button switch is a bit confusing to use to select on/off, type of light desired and bright/ dim selection. But all in all, it is perfect for the price point and fits my needs. I am very pleased with it, and am considering buying another for my husband to use when working on his jigsaw puzzles, as it is much more efficient than burning all 8 bulbs in the ceiling fixture over the table! I recommend it.

Wow this is the light you have been looking for !!!! Easy to use, great light setting from bright to amber with both from low light to bright light . Overall doesn’t bother the eyes and it is the ideal lamp!!!!! When you need light but only for you not the family or in other words you don’t want to turn on the main light in the room . Good quality , easy placement for most situations. If you want the traditional lamp well this one is not for you. Traditional lamps are bulky , the light is for everyone and they require their own small table . This one stands on its own, adjustable to you and your project, like over a sofa, over a. Table or desk over the bed . I haven’t tried but even over a workshop for garage type tasks . If I would have to say anything bad about this product is that it would need a longer power cord . In all great product, I will be buying more if needed . Great gift for anyone that enjoys reading , working on projects that require more light , portable , lightweight . I would not recommend taking it apart these type of products usually don’t like that, but haven’t tried .
