The best
Best NCVT out there. Doesn't give false readings like the Klein or Milwaukee ones.

Cautions against the possibility of being electrocuted --
These units are generally very highly rated. I have used other brands which seem to be OK, but the reputation of this unit is worth considering. I find it to be very/extremely handy.

Best NCVT out there with its own quirks
This is the best NCVT out there and the only one I use as a professional service electrician. Although no pen tester is recommended solely for testing electrical circuits, I find this to be a reliable line of defense and it has saved me hundreds of times from accidental shock. As with any pen tester, you must get used to it and understand how they work. Even different testers of the same model can work differently from one another. I even find that the same pen tester can work differently even after changing the batteries. I've used Klein, Milwaukee (complete garbage), Ames, Centech, Sperry, Flir, Wiha and others and this particular Fluke is the only one I trust now. My only complaint with these is that I wear it all day everyday, clipped in my front pocket, and after about 3 months the clip almost religiously breaks off. When the clip breaks it goes into the trash meaning I buy 4 of these a year. I wish they offered one with a metal clip or one that had a replaceable housing as it has no parts are serviceable.
