Rain-X works fantastic, lasts long and makes visibility much better. See video:
The media could not be loaded. Rain-X has been a staple in my family’s car care routine for decades. It is simple to use and involves just spraying or wiping Rain-X on windows, allowing it a minute to haze, then wiping it off. It leaves a hydrophobic film on your windows that allows water to slide right off, especially while moving. It is inexpensive and makes wipers last longer, makes visibility better and makes for easier, safer drives in wet weather. This spray bottle makes it even simpler, too. I’m just about all in with Rain-X but if I had to find a nitpick it is that small, misty water like haze or dew for example seems to deposit more on glass with Rain-X than without, an issue for windows not directly subjected to the wind of a moving car like a rear windshield but overall this stuff is great.I risked my life and took a short video while driving in the rain so everyone curious what a Rain-Xed windshield looks like can see. 😉

New formula?
A few years ago I had some RainX wipes that did a phenomenal job. They were not super easy to wipe clear, but they were worth the added effort. Because once applied the product performed amazingly well. Last fall I purchased the wipes again (not on Amazon), but the result was pathetic. They did wipe clear more easily, but after 6 applications the result was severely underwhelming. So I picked up a bottle of spray on, hoping it would perform better. And it does. It's easier to wipe clear than the original wipes that I had, but doesn't do quite as good a job, even after 3 applications. It's acceptable, but not as good. It also doesn't seem to last as long. Would I buy it again? Yes. But I'm a little disappointed.

treament works good
The Rain X glass treatment works great on the wind shield. However the sprayer got clogged the second time I tried to use it. I bought two of these and both of them got clogged. I had to put the glass treatment in a different sprayer. Thanks

Great for road trips!
Purchased 2 of these January 2023 for $5.99 each. Great value! We apply this on our car windows and headlights/brake lights before long road trips, and we personally feel that it really just helps with visibility on multiple ends.Applying this back during the rainy season in California, didn't even need to use wiper blades during intense rain because the rain just bounced right off. Of course, the back of the product says to still use your wipers, and we did of course, but it's cool to see that our wipers had some assistance and didn't need to solely rely on the wiper blades to have visibility of the road. It's also great because it really helps with clean up! On these California road trips especially, a lot of bugs unfortunately get demolished with their bodily remains on the window and front of the car, even somewhat on the sides especially when crossing the central valley. Applying Rain-X prior, they don't quite bounce off like rain does, but clean up is a lot easier since they don't stick to the front window and headlights as much.Really a great product. Just be sure to follow the instructions in the back, and know that the streaks you see as a result of applying the product is normal. If you read the ingredients, you'll see ethanol as one of the main ingredients. It's a really strong and somewhat unpleasant smell, so expect that. But that's when you know that it works, because the difference in polarity is what allows the repelling of water from your window with Rain-X applied. It's less than $10; if you're thinking of purchasing, just do it. You won't regret it. If you don't like it, you're out less than $10 and never have to buy it again, but at least you tried it.

Works great, but…
Works great for beading PNW rain and helping to lower the speed of the windshield wipers, but, considering how much and how often it rains here, I do wish that I didn’t have to reapply it so often.

I researched for days to find the best product for shower glass
Rain-X kept coming up review after review as the solution for shower glass walls and doors. First time I used the product I got high as kite, the fumes made my head dizzy and not in a good way. I followed directions but they are somewhat vague. It specifies to apply and let dry until you see a foggy coating. Maybe I didn't use enough. Second time I used the product (after two weeks of use) I was pissed. I thought it wouldn't be so soon that I would have to reapply the product...grrrrr. I applied a heavy coat of this stuff with two COVID masks on, window open, skylight open and the fan going, still smelled the alcohol or solvent, let it dry 15 minutes, applied another coat and let that dry for another 15 minutes and buffed it out. I had to wash the darn glass again after two weeks. Granted I didn't use Rain-X Bathroom version but I read reviews and people say it's the same product. I have purchased another product that has good reviews. It took some days for delivery, haven't tried it yet but I'm still searching for the perfect product.

Water rolls off.
Just as good now as it was when I first used it 35 years ago. I only quit because my glass looked scared and I was told it was etched. But now knowing it can be cleaned, I’m back using it on my boat windshield.

Good product
I used it on my fly rod guides to help prevent guide icing. It worked really well on the snake guides not so great on the lower two guides.
