Eggboard review
This is by far my favorite skateboard. It’s literally the best of both worlds. You get all the benifits of a long board and penny board. It rides super smooth and carves like no other. It is versatile, light weight and loads of fun. The customer service is second to none. Shout out to Paolo for the complimentary lights. The eggboard gets a lot of complements and is worth every penny!

Skating 101 - you might regret not getting one earlier
The media could not be loaded. Coming from a country with a weak currency and not having a lot of money, I was hesitant about getting this hundred-buck board and I sat on the idea of getting one for months before finally deciding to bite the bullet after chatting with Paolo on IG.My only experience with skating was with Heelys and JMK freeskates (which I still wouldn't say I'm very good at).I'm a generally inactive person nowadays (due to some unexpected personal and life circumstances) and I do not have a lot of time to spend playing on this eggboard. The first few days (mind you, I only got to play on it around only 5-10 minutes per day, no kidding) of pushing and barely being able to balance myself on it for more than 2 seconds, I asked myself who I was kidding thinking I could do this.Every time I put my back foot onto the board, without miss my weight would cause the board to lean and steer.around the 5th or 6th day, as if by some miracle, I found myself being able to push longer on one foot, and putting on my back foot wouldn't immediately cause me to wobble and topple over anymore.of course there is still some trepidation in me visavis putting the back foot on but it's getting easier and easier. The only thing left for me to do now is get really good at this eggboard to be worthy of carrying it around.Which, I do by looping a velcro strap (commonly seen used in fishing equipment) around the neck.Long enough for me to carry it on my fingers, but not too long that it'll snag on ground obstacles or pick up dust and debris from the ground. just nice.

For when you can't talk yourself out of bringing a board
The media could not be loaded. As someone who has a board in the back of their car, usually a board on my backpack, and traveling in pretty much every flight I've taken, having something of reasonable size and weight is always going to appeal to me. I have several other small cruisers like a lanyats dinghy or a penny board, but this feels so much better under the feet with the wider deck size. I've upgraded my bushings, wheels and hardware since but the stock actually carves pretty nice.My cautionary tail is unless you're rocking smooth concrete. The wheelbase when top mounting it puts you pretty unstable, larger bumps or cracks. However, you can put on a z bracket like what I have in the picture, and you have a drop deck cruiser with a wheelbase comparable to many of my long distance boards.I've had no issues flying with this thing strapped on the back of my backpack, or popping the trucks off and throwing it in the laptop sleeve. You'll want to make sure you have a good sense of balance under you to handle the smaller board (please don't make this your first board!) but this one's not leaving my quiver anytime soon.(Image is the loaded z brackets, orangutan caguama Wheels, with the nose and tail slightly chopped down to fit the brackets. Fun Little Cruiser
I got this as a second board for short commutes as it fits in a bag to carry around. Very handy and fun to ride! It’s also more spacious than you think (I’m asize 9). All I did when I got it was fasten the trucks a little as they were a bit loose for my taste. Other than that I left everything as it was and am very happy with it.

Flow, ease, minimalism, style ... now I'd just love the next iteration to include a kicktail!
Love the EggBoard! This is honestly the most compact skateboard I've ever owned, and facilitates a working- or student-lifestyle when you just need to zoom quickly from place to place, within a close geography. Best suited for flat, or gently-hilled, areas, and those wide wheels allow for easy flow over bumps, cracks, stray gravel, etc.The one suggestion I'd make for Eggboard II would be to add a slight kicktail -- mainly just to stabilize the back-end, not so much for trick-potential (though that would be cool) as for control. I had bought this board for my daughter to learn on, kinda like Skateboarding 101, and honestly I think she (and all beginners) would benefit from just a bit of traction on the back-end so that the rear foot doesn't ever slip. Seasoned skateboarders should have no problem (I certainly haven't), but beginner skaters would really benefit from that added stability.Keep up the good work, Eggboards, and as a teacher at a sustainability school in Hawai'i, we really appreciate your dedication to bamboo, minimal waste, etc. Thanks for a great ride!
