This stuff works really well as a deodorant. It is the best I have ever tried. You put a tiny amount in the palm in your hand maybe the size of a nickel and apply a little under each arm. Give it a minute or two to dry. It does not leave stains on clothes, I plan to see if I have an empty roll-on container that I can place this in or get a small jar with a scre top lid so I can carry a small amount. I had recently ordered a 3 pk of natural deodorant and I really was hoping it would work. I had tried more than one store-bought natural deodorant was not really impressed. I would make my own and they last a while and then I’d have to reapply them within a couple hours. I had read that milk of magnesia could be used under the arms. I was like what? I tried the sniff test several times no odor. After 24 hours still no odor. Two hours later very faint odor. In the past, I made my own homemade deodorant, but that only only lasted so long also. I then had my girlfriend’s boyfriend try it. Turned out he was using the same natural deodorant and having to reapply it often 24 hours later I asked him how’s it going and he said still no odor and he had not put new deodorant on. I used Phillips milk of magnesia. Just make sure you get an original and unscented milk of magnesia. I’m sure there’s different brands. do your own research and check ingredients.

This is one very amazing product. It is the same formula that my mother grew up with. I use it nowadays as a deodorant. Yes it can be used that way and works great. People used to use various things when deodorant companies didn't exist. Magnesium is good for the body. It is a catalyst for activating enzymes in the body. I know one person who uses this and is in her 80's. She is really sharp on the memory and better in thinking fast than people half her age. I think her magnesium "deodorant" is helping her. I find this works for leg spasms and just to enhance my body's need for magnesium. If you read books about magnesium and how incredible it is, you'll find it aids with asthma and anything related to inflammation, etc. When you put this on your skin, your skin will absorb what it needs. You then just wash the white stuff left on your skin with plain water. The company does not advocate this, I just experimented and discovered what an economical easy way to get magnesium into your body. It is plain magnesium. Drinking it is for constipation and yes it will help that but what I am talking about is using it externally and boy does it have some serious magic to it. Take a look at books that talk about the power of magnesium or what low levels of magnesium can do to the body. Raise the magnesium level on your body and suddenly problems you have been dealing with are suddenly not so challenging. It is very interesting stuff and even more amazing that this product helps with magnesium shortages. I started out trying it as a deodorant and then realized it could help my leg spasms that I got at times. I sleep so much better since starting this idea. One caution though, use it in the morning and not at night. It will keep you awake at night if you hit yourself with it then. After exercising, hit your legs with this stuff. Just try it for a day or two and see what it does for you. Amazing stuff. Highly recommended.

We used to be able to buy this in bottles or tablet form that said it was also good for heartburn and indigestion; which it is. But follow the directions carefully. Maybe take a little less than it recommends. If you take too much, make sure you're close to a toilet for a few hours or you could be in real trouble. Because, you will definitely be needing a place to relieve yourself. This is a much better answer than fiber pills.

I tried this product based on a YouTube video and thought, "oh, hell, it's cheap and it can't hurt." I've been nothing but amazed by how well this product has helped with my overly oily face. I have tried so many beauty products for oily skin and ALL of them made me more oily. I literally would glow in the dark. My face could have solved our oil crises... but not anymore. On bad days, I MIGHT have to apply this product with a triangle sponge twice. But usually once is good enough. It kind of smells funny, so I put some rose water in it. If you want it to be stronger and more oil absorbing, you can dilute out some of the top water, but I warn you that it is more likely to make your face a little whitish and you'll have a harder time rubbing it in. But either way, it works. And it's the ONLY thing in my whole 31 years of living that has ever helped. Despite dermatologist concerns, it DOES NOT create more acne. The oiliness created the acne. The pH balance might change, but it's a necessary change. I have no regrets. I have told my dermatologist about this and everyone in their office and they've been shocked. I think there are truly some people out there who are oily because their skin likes to produce oil and not because their skin is dry and needs more moisture. I am one of these people. If you are too, definitely try this. It has been the cheapest, most wonderful miracle. Feel free to ask me questions. I've been using this for about 6 months now. Who knew that a product for your stomach could do such wonderful things for your face. Go figure!

I have been using this brand of milk of mag for about 20 years on my face as an oil production stopper, I put my moisturizer on first as well as an oil and then put this on and my face is matte for most of the day, if I don’t use this my face gets so oily so quickly, I’ve never had a problem with it as long as it’s the original formula and not the flavored kind. Worth a try if you have oily skin

I was looking for a natural and chemical-free makeup primer (which is so hard to find), but Milk of Magnesia seemed to be highly recommended when conducting a Google search. I thought I would try it since the price is low and there's nothing to lose. I can honestly say that Milk of Magnesia certainly works as a makeup primer and exceeds performance of all the other expensive primers that I've tried. I applied the Milk of Magnesia over my all-natural moisturizer and I didn't experience any chalky patches. I really liked the consistency of the Milk of Magnesia and how it felt going on to my skin and how it felt after I let it absorb. It also does seem to help control oil production which is a total plus for those with oily skin. Only a very small amount is needed, so I'm sure this bottle will last a very long time. I can't speak for how well this product works for its intended purpose, but, as a makeup primer, it's excellent.
