It's fiddly but not difficult
Fitting this ring involves removing the mixer tap and attached flexible hoses. There is a compression washer that fits underneath the basin which is simple but fiddly to relocate. You will need an adjustable wrench, a 9mm spanner (this for the compression washer) and flathead small screwdrivers for the plug lever mechanism. Compleltely clear the area below the basin and have a towel handy to mop up drips from the flexible hoses.

Flimsy and useless for my tap.
I can't believe this was actually manufactured for use under a tap. Surely it is really some sort of shower outlet decorative flange or something ? Repurposed by the seller for taps ? I found it simply didn't provide a solid , secure, base for my taps at all , as I was hoping this would bridge an over-large tap hole in the basin. It is also VERY, very, flimsy , plastic, for such a price. Utterly useless for its claimed purpose.

Faucet for shower head holder.
This was a test to install this faucet to a shower holder that looked unfinished without one. It fits and looks perfect against the tiles. I will now order another one for my other shower.
