Are you looking for some kind of slippers around the house in the chilly days? There, the Avanigo down slippers are enough warm for cold feet. 90% white down filling make your feet warm and comfortable High ankles for a good protection at night The sole is thick enough that the bottom of your feet don't get cold They're like having down comforters around your feet Review: Solving Age-Related Cold Feet. - I sleep in a recliner and often had cold feet since I like a cooler room to sleep in. Age-related peripheral vascular changes required this sort of product. I cemented some insole inserts to the bottoms so walking in the house won't wear through the bottoms. Thanks, Avanigo. Review: You get what you pay for. - These are very large, insulated nylon socks. If you’re looking for down house slippers, look elsewhere. Now, about that insulation: it is absolutely not down. I have not actually cut into them to see what they’re insulated with but I’ve owned lots of down sleeping bags, quilts, coats and vests and this stuff is not like any down I’ve ever felt. What it feels like is cheap, polyester fiber filling. So, I suppose you get what you paid for. They do compress well enough that they can be crammed into the stuff sack they came with. Unfortunately, it warmed up today so I couldn’t tell you how warm they are, but you don’t experience the instant warmth you get from down. I have a very, very light summer down bag that I’m looking forward to taking out this summer. I’m not entirely convinced it will be adequate so I’ll be bringing along a real, down vest and these socks for insurance. If I like and need the extra warmth I might invest in a pair of real down socks but for $25 these are worth trying out.
