Spiegelau Style Glasses, Red Wine

I am absolutely in love with this style/shape of glass. My issue, like any wine drinker's issue, is that beautiful wine glasses usually mean delicate wine glasses. Unfortunate to say, I rated this one four star because within less than a month of having, two have broken. While that's not completely on the vendor, as they did not arrive broken - they are listed as dishwasher safe and more sturdy, which I've found to be not completely true as one broke while hand washing and running the sponge around the rim, it cracked (And I have tiny, kid sized hands - so there wasn't a ton of pressure being used) and the other broke again while washing. So, like most beautifully crafted wine glasses, they are pretty delicate and though I didn't put them in the dishwasher, I would NOT recommend doing so. Other than that, they're very sleek - all arrived in tact.

These glasses are elegant, feel good in your hand and make the wine look and taste better. I am a bit of a wine glass snob and really love everything about these glasses. They are a bit delicate (which I like) but marked them as a “4” in the durability and easy to clean categories because of this quality feature—-not a bad thing but just a caution. Guests who have used them love the look and quality and have remarked about purchasing some as well. If you are a fussy wine person, these are worth the purchase.

I liked how slick it looks but very fragile. It says on the box that it is hard to break but on the contrary it broke so easily😞

Beautiful, super thin, amazingly durable, with a clear and lasting acoustic ring when struct or tapped.The first time we used them one glass fell off a table and bounced several times on a tile floor but didn't break! Everyone was astounded! And then our guests asked us how to spell "Spiegelau", (because they could not pronounce the name), so they could buy them. That's quite a first impression!

These are high quality, elegant wine glasses. They sparkle, and to my very critical eye do not have any flaws. Yes, they are thinner than cheap everyday glasses, but do not appear to be as fragile as other crystal glassware I have (Riedel). I would never put glasses of this quality in the dishwasher. My only minor complaint as several others have mentioned is the shape and balance of the glass. It's a contemporary style, but not quite what I am use to; seems like the stem could be a little longer, and the bowl maybe a little shorter. Picky, picky. Wine does taste wonderful in this glass.
