Great, sturdy WORKING cable! Happy customer!
After trying a useless 9-pin to 15-pin connector and failing miserably, I tried this 9-pin to USB adaptor and it worked PERFECTLY. I am super happy with this purchase. The cable is sturdy and not cheap feeling and is a decent length. The usb came covered and protected and all of the pins in the 9-pin end are intact. It arrived on time in a nice little box with a driver CD. I had no trouble installing the drivers on my old Vista computer. After some fiddling around with my device settings (I was trying to connect my computer to an old rheometer for chemistry), and the settings for the cable, my computer was able to communicate with the device perfectly! A word of advice: if it doesn't work, make sure you know which COM port you are using (check in your device manager settings), and try adjusting the baude and bits per second settings (under properties). So happy!!
