Pretty handy for mid-day shave on the go
Well, it's an basic "travel" electric shaver. I never owned an electric shaver, but, before, I just used a DE razor for mostly maintaining a bald head. And it does the job. *Not* a completely new razor blade smooth job but almost. Some areas can get pretty smooth but not everywhere. "Good enough" at the very least. "B, sometimes B+." ((Yeah, that's right. 5-star for expecting a B-ish shave. At this price, I do not expect an A+ from a single pass. You kiddin' me?)) Unless someone is standing close studying your head or run their hands over your skin, they'll never know. Still gonna use the DE on a night out, but this is good for a lazy Sunday at least. It does leave patches which you will need to go over a couple of times from different angles. It's not good for the fuzzy back neck hairs or really long hairs. So you'd have to use it before hairs get long. The clippings end up as this powdery dust and sometimes they don't all get caught in the compartment, but as long as they aren't tiny itchy needles that get embedded in my shirt collar for years, I don't care. The only thing I can't comment on is how durable it is because I received it a day ago. If I don't update this review, then you know the answer. I'm sure as time goes on the cutter will get dull. There is replacements. Final thoughts: I like the 2 AA batteries thing. Just use some old NiMHs. Too many things have a built in rechargable battery nowadays when it isn't even necessary. The side slide-out trimmer thing is handy, but I don't think I will use it much. Though, I rather have it than not I guess. I've read some complaints that it's slow? Well, if I can shave in front of my TV and not make a complete hairy mess... Throw it in your bag and just start shaving in weird places like at the market, on the bus, while you're ordering fast food, etc. And act like it's completely normal. I used to look down on electrics but there seems to be potential. I see now that it's worth exploring higher-end ones. Least, it's handy as another tool for your belt. Welcome to dry-shaving park.

Best Electric Shaver Ever!!!
Best electric razor I have ever owned, and reasonably priced also. I originally got this shaver to use for quick, evening "touch-up" shaves, or for days when I was in an extreme hurry and didn't have time for a blade shave. However, I was surprised to discover that this shaver actually shaves closer than my triple-blade razor does. Therefore, I often use the Braun shaver instead of a blade, although sometimes I will shave with a blade and then use the Braun M90 afterwards to get an even closer shave, especially where it really matters. I find that it is much easier to shave the part of my top lip that is under my nose with this Braun shaver than it is to shave it with the blade razor. Some people have stated in reviews here that the shaving foil is not very durable, but I don't find that at all. Of course, if you drop it a lot with the protective cover off, then I'm sure that it could be easily damaged. But then again, if someone were to drop YOU on your head with no helmet on, then I'm sure that you would be damaged also. I really love that this razor runs on common AA batteries, rather than a rechargeable battery (since those old special rechargeable batteries wore out quickly and are difficult to find replacements for.) I have been using this shaver a lot, for months now, and I still have not even had to replace the batteries yet. I would highly recommend this shaver, especially to people who think that they won't like an electric shaver. By the way, you can also use this razor wet (and can clean it in water also, if you want to), but this is unnecessary, since it works really great as a dry shaver. This shaver is also small and lightweight, so it is also great for travel or for shaving on the go (such as at work, or otherwise away from home.) The handy sideburn trimmer that pops out of the side and the cleaning brush that pops out of the bottom of the unit are also great bonus features included with this model.

A mostly great travel shaver
In a nutshell: Cheeks, mouth area: A+ Jawline: B- Neck: D The size and design is excellent, and for ~$20, it's a great little gadget to throw in with your travel kit (though I would advise to take out the batteries for long-term stints when not in use). It feels especially nice to use it in the shower after scrubbing up your face with soap/cleanser. Both dry and wet I never really experienced irritation. It's capable of shaving even closer than my usual razor wet shave. Its one big downside is the neck/under chin area. You know those beard hairs that sprout from their follicle and seemingly grow directly sideways? Yeah, this thing is borderline useless for those, and requires many extra passes to get those, and often its easy to miss spots. So yeah, no regrets buying it, but not a complete home run.

Great little razor
I've had this shaver about six months now and use it for weekend shaving. In the past I have not had much luck with electric razors because they caused a rash in my neck area. This razor does not. I would say my facial hair is medium coarse and I need to shave every day or I show stubble. The saver is very light and so far no complaints about battery life (battery was included). Weekdays I use shaving foam and blade razors. Easy to clean (I remove screen and tap the razor lightly, a small brush (included) gets the rest of the fine cut hairs out. Great little shaver. And a bargain.

I normally wet shave but there are times when I simply don't have time and if you need to look respectable you just can't turn up with stubble (unless it's "designer" and that's not me). I bought from a certain auction website an inexpensive electric razor but it really didn't do the job and the rechargeable battery expired within a year so it is now in the bin. As I usually do, I researched the market thoroughly before buying. In the end I felt I couldn't lose this was less than £20 and I opted for it over the M60 because of the trimmer function for which I am really glad. The ability just to trim the sideburns makes you look so much better groomed, even if you are overdue a trip to the barber. So, downside. None! Upside, takes batteries so you can always stop at your nearest newsagent or convenience store and get some more. It is BRAUN so the quality is fantastic. It's waterproof so, if you want to, you can shave in the shower (although I'm not sure this is a definite advantage) and it will not be ruined in the bathroom when you spill water onto it. The design is excellent so that the foil guard also cuts off the power swich and it cannot just turn itself on in your washbag (which my toothbrush does). There is a cute cleaning brush recessed into the base although you can just wash it under the tap. New foils are easy to come by and cheap. It takes around two minutes to have a clean-up shave where my Chinese one took nearly 10 minutes. It does not tug the hair it just cuts it without any discomfort. BRAUN sell razors for over £200. I get as close a shave with the M90 as I do with a wet razor against the grain of my beard. My skin must be pretty sensitive as I have only just found a wet razor I can do this with, previously I had to shave with the grain to avoid shaving rash. My wife loves the result and it's so convenient that if we are going out in the evening you can get rid of the 5 o'clock shadow in no time. I bought this thinking that if I liked it I would ask for an expensive model as a birthday present - forget it, if there is any advantage to a £200 razor (and I suppose there must be some) I amfar too content with what I have to even contemplate changing.
