Admittedly, this product is only useful for some niche setups. However, if you have two computers (or other USB receiving equipment) then this product is a must have.I used this product initially to switch my keyboard and mouse, and an external harddrive, between my Mac and my PC. I use my computer's for different purposes, and it's great to be able to use the same keyboard and mouse without having to manually switch cables every time. For this purpose, it was perfect.After some playing with it, I realised another useful way to use the product - for sharing my Xbox controller between my PC and my Xbox. This was a fun additional use, although I'm unlikely to use it this way much.The product has fantastic build quality, and fits in well on my desk - looking like a premium product. It's metal finish really does give it a professional feel.Before ordering, my one concern had been whether this supported external power. Thankfully, it does. This is a fantastic feature, as anyone who has bought a budget USB hub will likely know.If you're looking to share USB devices between two computers at will, then this product is for you.

It's small and neat, works without any fuss at all, allows me to use the same keyboard and mouse with both my home computer and office laptop since I'm working from home. Only downside, and this can be cured with tracing paper, is that the LEDs which tell you which side is active, although bright, are very directional. When it is sitting on my desk an arm's length away, I cannot see which is which.

Needed something to make it easier to switch peripherals between my MacBook and PC. This does the job beautifully. Takes little space on my desk as well.

Basically as per the headline. Constantly (and randomly) disconnects from the PC/Laptop devices, with no perceivable reason why or solution to fix - I try unplugging each peripheral, and from the PC's, but makes no difference. Seems to de-power the peripherals, as the lights on them are off when this happens.Additionally, about 50% of the time I find my newer laptop randomly "can't recognise USB device".During time-sensetive work, this is incredibly frustrating. Poor product, 1 star.

I started off wanting to use the same keyboard and mouse on my pc as my xbox series x, and for that this works at overkill type levels as far as a usb 3 data transfer switch is concerned but then it also has the wifi receiver for my headset connected to it (a rig 700xl) and as i said is perfect for this job.

I have personal PC and work laptop set up ( working from home as most people are at the moment )Having 2 keyboards and 2 mice is just not an option due to available real-estate on desk.Was getting increasingly fed up plugging and un plugging devices from one to another.Ordered this and it's a game-changer. So easy to set up, easy to use ( as other reviewers have mentioned )And, arrived 2 days before expected delivery date - added bonus :-)

I was dubious about this, but after unboxing, the well packaged unit, I plugged it in, it was easy to setup, worked right out of the box, Swapped Keyboard and mouse from pc 1 to pc 2. Still had a couple of usb ports to play with too. Only thing that would have been nice would have been to have a holder for it as it slips around on the desk. Overall, very good product indeed and good quality build.

Everything I knock my desk or the switcher moves in the slightest, everything disconnects for like 10 seconds and it all comes back. Extremely frustrating.
