I am very pleased with the quality of this and it will easily fit items that are up to 42 to 43 in long. This is not at the same sturdiness quality you would find in military gear because it is held to a much higher standard. However, for civilian purposes it looks like it's going to last a few years. It is definitely not meant to be dragged along airport floors or the like so you need to be very careful about keeping it off the ground. The sewing appears to be excellent and the hasp assembly is very strong. I am very pleased with it. It would be nice if some of these companies would just dig out some of the old military specifications for duffel bags and simply copy those.

Seems pretty heavy-duty. I got it to use for switching out summer and winter clothes because after all these years, that's just still better for me. Its thick, strong material makes me see why they use it for the military. These are great if you're moving too.

Purchased to put our Cemetery chair covers in. These are great. I would recommend them because well they’re not absolutely not military grade. Nothing like what I came home with. But they are pretty durable. I would purchase again.

I am not using my top loading duffel bag as a piece of luggage. I am a musician and I have a folding chair that was designed specially for musicians, BUT only around 6 gigs and it is showing signs of wear, and dirt. Schleping gear around can be tough on things. I looked at a lot of different things to use as a cover to keep my chair nice and finally ordered this duffel bag. It works like a charm! People with more normal use for the bag are going to want to know about the bag's quality. This is a very rugged bag and well made. It comes in army green or black. The price is right too.

I love this duffle bag. The material is super strong and its size is enormous!! I bought it to store seasonal clothes and it holds lots and lots of pieces. I believe that its price is more than worth it. It is a bargain. The thickness of the material is impressive: thick, strong and super high quality!!!...I highly recommend this military duffle bag. It has many uses and you can travel with it anywhere you want assured that your bag won't tear easily. It is durable, washable and the color does not run.

The bag is not bad, the canvas seems durable. But from my point of view, there are two main problems: 1) The clasp at the end of the strap is flimsy and I'd not rely on it, especially when the bag is heavy-loaded. 2) The picture in product description is misleading, at best... but in fact, absolutely deceptive. 50"x30" are dimensions of XXL bag if it is empty, laying flat on the ground. In other words, square base of the bag is not 30x30 how the picture indicates, absolutely not at all !! When fully packed, the height is around 41".
