I'm very happy with this Pulaco 95GPH pump.
My old pump didn't have a GPH on it. It had an MD80. Not knowing if that was the same as GPH, I took a chance and ordered this Pulaco 95 GPH submersible pump. I'm pleased with it. It is working as I hoped it would and it has a little bit stronger water flow than the previous one. There isn't a long distance for the water to be pumped up (the distance of the tube and a height of about 7-8 inches). I have only had it 2 weeks and I've already had to clean out the strainer on the end. This is my fault for allowing grass clippings to get blown into the water when mowing and blowing grass off the patio. I'll need to figure out a way to prevent that from happening in the future. FYI, the info says to remove screws to take the unit apart to clean it. This is not the case with this unit. I had to use a very small flat screwdriver to separate the strainer from the end of the unit. Once I had it off it was easy to clean it out and then snap it back on. I found a YouTube video explaining how to do this. There is no noise from the pump itself, only the trickle of water.

Perfect flow and power for my 12x12x24 tank
Wrote a review for my fountain and thought this info would be good for someone looking for the power of this pump or how to build a terrarium with this pump. Just copied and pasted, that's why the wording is more towards the fountain. Hope this helps! Also I have this pump set on the medium setting, which is perfect. I noticed no noise from the pump itself. My tank size is 12x12x24 and this pump works perfect with perfect flow of water that I was looking for. Built a bioactive terrarium/vivarium for my crested rainforest gecko. Wanted a fountain to cycle the water through the substrate and also act as a water dish for my little guy. This was perfect. I installed a 95 GPH pump in the substrate so it would have enough power to give it a 2.5 foot lift (I doubt the pump it came with would have the power for what I needed). I was able to connect the tubing of my pump to the original tubing of the fountain so aesthetically it would appear to function how it was designed with the water coming out and flowing how it is shown. Setting it up with the higher powered pump allows the water in the substrate to get filtered all the way through the system to clean and maintain the water, while allowing it to flow out of the front of the fountain so I don't have to ever clean my gecko's "water dish". It also maintains the humidity of my tank and waters my plants. I took netting and wrapped a ball of small rocks. I placed the ball directly under the front of the fountain going out a few inches. Then I put a small layer of soil over them and covered it with a plant that likes to be continually wet. The rocks allow the water to flow through without soaking the surrounding soil so that my other plants don't get overwatered. I hope all of this makes sense because this is the kind of info I was looking for when I was trying to figure out how to build my vivarium. I really like that this fountain looks very natural while also having the small "pond" at the bottom. I found it to be the perfect size for my tank which is 12x12x24. It's pretty quiet, a small tinkling like you are somewhat close to a small stream. With my tank door closed I can hardly hear it. If you are looking for a fountain for your tank, this is perfect in appearance and function! This pump functioned exactly as I was hoping it would! I can't imagine how many pounds it is buried under and it pumps like it's was made for that kind of pressure. Last pics shows all the weight the pump is under and how it still works great under all that.

Does OK but struggles at 14" direct lift
Put in our outdoor water feature. Previous pump was failing as runs 24 hours a day. This give a decent water lift at 14" but wish was a little more. Above outlet it is around 1". Probably should have gone with 160GPM VS 90GPM, so when this one goes, will upgrade, but thats my error. They only last about 1 season normally. Easy to install as 1 clamp off and replace. Works satisfactory, just if going with a straight up lift, go with larger pump and reduce water flow.... this is running at 100% capacity.

Quality Pump That's Also Quiet...
This is a great little pump, that's quiet and has ample power. It has an adjustable flow rate to customize for your needs, which is helpful. I used in a terrarium, and it did the job. Would recommend!

Great for the money
Works in shallow water and moves water well for its size. Does what its supposed to do. Word of advice, if you happen to pull the pump above water level, it will stop pumping. You will need to unplug and re submerge to get the pump to start circulating again. Great for the money. One more thing, when I received my pump in the mail the tubing that came with it was crammed inside the tiny box along with the pump. Being a soft tubing, it was kinked at every spot it had to bend. In order to unkink, fill your sink with hot water and put the tubing in the water to allow it to relax. I even put some of the hot water in the tubing, held a finger on one end and blew into the other to help the kinked areas expand with aid of the hot water. Anyways, worked for me and just a tip👍🏻

Not very good flow
it does what it’s supposed to (for the most part). I wouldn’t rely on this for a waterfall pump unless you’re not raising the tube and or you don’t want very strong of a stream (at all). It will slow down as it lives in your tank, mine worked very low flow at first but after like a week of being in the tank it doesn’t have the power to push the water up. For almost any instance i’d recommend a stronger one, I love how small and compact this one is but it just doesn’t have the power you’ll need for most instances. Not a horrible product but definitely not ideal for my situation. It is super quiet though, and wasn’t hard to install or set up.

Might make your pets sick
Bought to go In a water dish for my cats and dogs. When I turned it on the water actually looked like it was smoking. I thought at first it was just air caught in it. But after cleaning and putting it back In the water it became murky again but it took a few hours. In that time I believe my cat drank from it and may have been poisoned. She has been very ill with no explanation. Of course I had already thrown the thing in the trash where it belonged. If I hadn’t I would be getting it tested to see if it almost killed my cat.
