Excellent blade, nice items in the kit
Great knife, really sharp. This kit comes with a belt clip, sheath, and some 550 cord to wrap the handle with. There are some other accessories that I didn't think were too useful - the clips and cord locks, but others might like them. The belt clip is ok, but I ended up cutting a piece of bicycle tire innertube and wrapped it around the sheath. It slides onto my belt and the rubber gives enough grip that I can draw it very easily from my belt. I typically carry it scout style, horizontally in the small of my back. This is a great knife and the kit has a lot of useful items in it. The price difference between the knife without the kit is pretty small so it is better to get the kit. The knife holds an edge very well and it has a nice thickness to it. For EDC this would work great, but the blade is thick enough and feels sturdy enough to use in the field and in survival situations if needed.

Perfect EDC.
As stated in the title, this is the perfect EDC. Very lightweight yet sturdy knife with tons of versatile carry options included in the box. This knife came razor sharp right out of the box and easily shaved my forearm hair and paper. With a low price and a no hassle lifetime warranty, you can't go wrong!!

The Izula is probably the best small fixed blade on the market.
It's the power of a fixed blade that you can fit in your pocket. It also easily integrates with inside-the-waistband handgun holsters if you really feel the need to have a concealed knife; I don't, so I just put it in my pocket or clip it on my belt to use as a work knife. It's a very stout little knife, just like everything else ESEE makes, and I like it as a lightweight alternative to a folder when I'm hiking or fishing. The steel is very good and can get an incredible edge going, as per usual with ESEE knives. I believe this knife is also covered by the standard ESEE warranty, which states that if it ever breaks, for any reason, even if you break it on purpose, or are not the original purchaser of the knife, they will replace it for life.Your choices for handle wrapping materials are varied. I personally suggest wrapping it in safety orange high visibility line with reflectors woven in. That way, if it gets dropped in the dark, all you have to do is shine a flashlight over the area and your Izula shines back at you like a beacon.

An excellent multipurpose, lightweight knife.
I bought this knife for a going away present. The new owner is going to be mountaineering for a month and this seemed like a solid item. I'm a pretty experienced hiker/camper and I did some research and this knife is recommended by a lot of backpackers and mountaineers as well as some of the survivalists. The knife: Solid build, nice weight, well balanced, and durable. The edge is more than adequate right out of the box and I would have no issues taking this from box to hiking trip. Some users recommended putting a better edge on the knife before use, and that would probably be ideal, but the factory edge is nothing to be disappointed in. The blade isn't stainless, so you'll want to oil it after use and periodically to prevent oxidation. The neck knife is nice for being able to deploy the blade quickly without worrying about opening it/closing it. The skeletonized handle is great to shed weight and if you wrap it in paracord it looks and feels really cool. With respect to the knife itself ESEE has a winner on their hands. I prefer my Cold Steel or Benchmaid, but at 1/4 the cost, this knife is fantastic. The kit: For an extra 10 bucks you can get the "kit" and I put that loosely since it was the only disappointment in the purchase. I replaced the paracord with a better cord (with snare line, fishing line, and fire cord within) and the O-rings, whistle and other components are a bit gimmicky. Any hiker/backpacker will surely have a better whistle handy.Overall: I would absolutely buy this knife again. In fact I might buy myself one soon. Do yourself a favor though and buy the knife only and invest the 10-12 bucks in a better grade of paracord to wrap the handle. You'll end up much happier.

Great compact knife
This is an excellent knife. I was looking for a high-quality smallish fixed-blade knife that would be suitable for everyday carry and day-hikes in the woods. This blade suits me perfectly. Lightweight, compact, and yet still big enough to use for serious chores if need be. Personally, I would not consider this a neck-knife, though. No doubt it could work for that, but it's just a little bigger than I would like dangling on my chest. NOTE: mine did come with a belt-clip plate, which is not mentioned and which I unknowingly ordered a duplicate of. (Too late I noticed another reviewer commented on this.)As others have mentioned, mine too came shaving sharp, and I am very pleased with overall quality and functionality. I just wrapped the handle with the included para-cord (which is the legitimate seven-strand stuff) and am happy with the result. A note on the size: I have large but not huge hands, and I find the handle size comfortable, but not quite enough to get the pinky on it. That doesn't bother me at all; the knife still feels secure and under control.

Toughest little knife ever.
The knife is extremely well made. It's small, but not too small. Carrying a larger knife is unnecessary, this will perform all the jobs of a knife twice its size. Other than sharpening it, your only duty will be to make sure it stays dry, it will rust if left wet. Unlike most fixed blades, this knife comes with an excellent sheath and clip and you can adjust it and modify to best suit your carry needs. The excellence in craftmanship is obvious. The handle is quite ergonomic and unless you have truly gigantic hands you won't find it too small. This is perfect for a small bug-out bag or as a daily carry.

Ligero y manejable

Best knife I ever owned
Love this knife, super sharp and I love the small size. The sheath is nice and snug, but it does leave small black marks on the side of the knife, not a huge deal.

Piccolo gioiello
Una bellissima lama, made in usa. Piccolo, ben bilanciato, completo di fodero con due diversi tipi di attacco, un ottimo acquisto. Molto soddisfatto
