Well I was hoping for pants that can be worn at the waist and these do. However I ordered 34" length and the pair sent to me were 37" so had to be returned. I didn't reorder because the pants are made with very thin material. Disappointed.

The pants are great, but they run VERY small. My husband has another pair of Columbia's in 32, but the 32 in the Silver Ridge Cargo Pant is at least a size smaller.

I work as a video producer and am often outside in the summer heat while filming. I had been wearing jeans while doing this, but figured there must be something lighter and cooler, yet still professional looking for my type of work. Many of the cargo-style pants I looked at were either too thick, too warm, had too many loose hanging pockets, or simply looked unprofessional (like the ones where you can unzip the pant legs off. To me, those look silly).After hunting around on Amazon, I stumbled across these pants and 'on paper' they seemed exactly what I was looking for: lightweight, cool, and professional enough when working with my clients.When they arrived, I was thrilled! They look great, the fit was good (for me, the waist size was consistent with other pants,however, the length seemed a good inch or more longer than normal), and they are so much cooler to wear than jeans. Plus the belt is nice because now I don't have to remove it when going through airport security because it's made out of nylon and plastic.I have several pairs of shorts that I love made of similar fabric and I always wondered why they didn't make long pants from the same fabric. Now, thanks to Columbia, I know that they do!

I have a few pair of Columbia pants similar to these and wear them often but they were getting a little tight since I've picked up a pound or two so I wanted to buy some fat pants. I like the pants but the waist is really small! REALLY small... yeah I've gained a few lbs but compared to other pants these are def a size smaller, easily one full size. They are very very light weight and perfect for FL weather. The pockets are very basic and could certainly be better designed. Other brands like Propper, 5.11, arc'Teryx (while expensive) all have a better designed pants with pockets that were well thought out. Having said that, if you're just looking for a basic, very light pant this is a great choice. I will like them a little better in the summer after dropping a few lbs and can actually wear them.

Went up on this pair to 40"x34". I wear 36"x34" jeans and I ordered a pair of Columbia convertible pants a week ago that were 38"x34" ... those were a little snug. This 40" waist fits perfectly. Good looking pair of cargo pants with lower profile pockets. Very comfortable and light weight. Exactly what I was looking for.

I received my pants two days earlier. I read other costumers review and I had bought a size bigger than i normaly use. Very well made, light and comfortable. I love them.

I ordered a size bigger and didnt need to. Dont worry about what others say about them being too small. They must have fixed the problem because I'm 5'-11" 175 lbs and wear 34/32 and I went with the next size larger and they are falling off me. Too big at waist and too long in inseam. Wish I could return for exchange and get my regular 34/32. By the way they feel like wearing nothing at all. But, maybe thats because mine fell off?
