Excellent and long lasting!
I've had this thing for years. My husband LOVES it for keeping his chefs knife sharp. After having for at least 5 years we just had to get a block to even out the surface. Should keep working for years at this rate. Highly recommend.

Good stone
Its a whetstone. Soak it a few minutes and go to work. King whetstones overall are worth the money and function very well. Only drawback would be lack of user skill.

Seems to be as good as my other King stones just not as wide and glued to the base
I love King water stones I bought this one because I needed a more coarse stone to regrind bevel angles on my chisels and plane blades. I used it earlier to shape a chisel bevel and it seemed to work pretty quickly. My only complaint is that the stone is glued to the base and it took about 15 minutes to flatten the stone with my diamond plate before I used it. And I know my diamond stone is dead flat, I checked it when I first bought it. Also I thought that the stone was as wide as my other King stones but it is only 2 inches wide. But that shouldn't be a issue I only use 2 inch and under blades.

Coarse whetstone
This stone is perfect for quickly rough shaping a dull edge.

Decent whetstone, but poorly designed
It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but my main issue with it is that the stone is glued to the plastic holder. This makes the process of waiting for it to dry out longer and I believe it may also raise the potential for mold to grow down in the glued area.

Great stone, but!
You can’t beat the price. As all low grit whetstones they wear down faster and start creating bellies. More expensive stones don’t lose material that fast. But this one isn’t that. But for the money it still gets the job done.
