Rwandan Whole Bean Coffee
I first drank this flavor of coffee at SB and found it to be a coffee both my husband and I like. When they stopped selling it at one of my favorite coffee stops, I searched for it here and found it. I have purchased it a few times now and am enjoying a cup of it now.

Fresh dark roasted beans!
This bag was excellent - even received well within the "Best if used by date". The beans were rich, deep, dark brown and glossy! The aroma was delicious and so was the coffee! It has been difficult to locate due to serious draught in Africa in spring 2012.

Too close to expiration date
Loved the coffee but it was OLD! I should have driven to Costco where it costs less and is fresher

Makes a wonderful cold brew
I have only made a cold brew coffee with this, but it made one of the best cold brew iced coffees I have made yet. That is significant seeing as I live off of iced coffee in the summer so I make cold brew coffee pretty regularly. To make my cold brew I ground 4.5 ounces of coffee on the medium-coarse setting of my burr grinder. I then combined that with 3.5 cups of cold water, stirred it, and let it sit on my counter for 14 hours before straining the grounds out and putting it in a pitcher in the fridge. I filled a glass with ice cubes and poured 1/2 cup of coffee concentrate and 1/4 cup of 1% milk over the ice. Made this way, the coffee had a natural sweetness and none of the bitterness you get when brewing with hot water.

Great
Rich and dark...not for everyone and this is good stuff. I usually cut this with Starbucks Breakfast Blend to tone it down to my taste....get this on sale when you can.

Turn down the Roaster!!
The wonderful essence of Rwandan coffee is totally lost here thanks to roasting until it has a dark, musty taste...much like the awful coffee turned out by Starbucks and Peets. When you've had good Rwandan coffee...and I have, this is a towering disappointment.

Full-bodied and rich
Makes wonderful iced coffee. Make the ice cubes with coffee and add a splash of Starbucks peppermint syrup to the coffee and then, yum-o-rama.
