A Wonderful Companion to The Invisible String
This companion workbook that reinforces the book, The Invisible String, by the same author, incorporates the expertise of Dana Wyss, PhD, trauma-informed teacher. The activities and journaling are appropriate for all ages. Young children who are pre-reading and pre-writing can work with adults and utilize their art skills and storytelling to express their ideas and emotions. The activities include coloring pages, word searches, journaling, letter writing, charades, and more. Each activity outlines the project with activity, supplies, directions, and goals to help the adults and older children navigate the book with ease. The illustrations that decorate the activities are culturally inclusive allowing children to see themselves. This workbook is an invitation to young children, teens, and adults. The workbook is 113 pages long and doesn't cut corners with excessive illustrations and philosophy.-Missy Church

GREAT for heling kids walk through grief.
My kids enjoy reading this book a lot. It really helps them put thoughts and words to their emotions. It also helps them to understand that though their dad is no longer with us he still loves them as much as they love him. My two oldest are 6 and 4 and lost their dad a year and a half ago.

Really helpful
My daughter great grandpa passed away when she was four, she had so many tough questions following his absence. This book really helped us to talk about the death process with her. We also got the accompanying workbook, it has a lot of activities that allow children to reflect on their feelings of grief.

Excellent book
As an early childhood educator for over 25 years this is one of my favorite books to read with my preschoolers and kindergartens. It covers separation anxiety brilliantly for children and even death. I use this as a gift for children when they are leaving my program too.

Help kids understand a loss
Recommended by school counselor after we lost our dear Nonna. My kids (6&9) had a hard time comprehending the death of their grandma. They would act out, cry, and hold in a lot of feelings. This book allowed them to ask questions age appropriate and for us as parents to explain that she will never be forgotten. A must have esp if it a first time death in the family
