Great Jacket: Worth considering the 'step up' from entry-level mesh jackets.
I bought this at my local cycle gear retailer, not Amazon, and was able to try on pretty much the full range of BILT Jackets. This model costs a little more than the entry-level bilt jackets and the quality shows: Better zips, strong seams, generally feels sturdier... Plus zip-out liner which some of the lower-priced ones don't have.I use it as a "2 1/2" season jacket. Without the liner it's about as light and breathable as you can get and still have good protection. With the liner I find it's good down to about 50 degrees. So it's my go-to jacket from mid-spring to mid-fall. Colder than that and I break out the lined leather...I'm 6' tall and wear an XXL IRL, and typically buy gear in XXXL. The XXXL in this model fit me nicely all around. I tried on some of the other BILTs and it was hit-or-miss. The Techno XXXL fit fine, but I didn't care for the styling. For the Blaze and Retro models, I would have needed 4XL to get my shoulders in them, and the rest was too big.Neoprene padded neck is nice. The shoulder and elbow armor is well-placed. The spine padding is just padding, not armor. As to the other review that mentions wrist size, I didn't have that problem: With the velcro "all the way out" they fit over my gauntlet gloves nicely. With the velcro "strapped down" tight they fit snug enough around my wrists to slip inside the gauntlets. They're not elasticized, so if you wear short gloves or no gloves, they're not gonna be an 'airtight' fit.
