Simple and easy to use.
I was able to sync it via bluetooth with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 right away. I set my phone on a tripod to test it out. The droid button works whether it's front or back-facing, and if I press the "Camera 360" button (meant to use with the app if your phone isn't capable of connecting by itself) instead of doing nothing, it zooms in--I can't zoom out though; kinda funny lol! It's not designed for zooming and never advertised that though so it's really a small bonus I guess. It'll take pics fast if I press the button rapidly, or if my phone is on the setting where it takes a bunch quickly at a time, I just push the remote control button once and it takes all the pics in a row! Awesome!I wish it would record too! Just something I thought of when I was testing it out for pics. I can however, push the record button on the phone, and then pushing the remote button will take a pic while it's recording, then again will stop the recording, so that's still helpful! It also came with a neat tool that you can put on the back of your phone that helps you hold it, or you can use it as a stand. It's hard to describe but I wasn't expecting that little free gift and it's pretty neat!In conclusion, it's definitely optimal for what you buy it for--remotely taking a pic, but I discovered that it does even more than that one simple thing it advertises, and for just a few bucks, buying it's a no--brainer. I'm very satisfied with it, and will probably buy more as gifts!

Update
Does not work. This order came faster than expected. Price was very good. I put the battery in and started the pairing process. At first my phone found the device. But tapping the keyboard to type in the pin would not work. After a few attemps the keyboard icon would not display. I tryed a different android phone plus the Amazon Fire 6. None worked. This probably works well for the Iphone. I suspect this is just a defective device. I sent the seller a email asking for help. Waiting for reply.Update: I ordered another one of these from a different seller. The first seller refunded my money for the defective device. The second device did pair with my Zmax phone but only zooms. Doesnt take pictures. Its also paired with my 2nd Driod phone and it worked as it was supposed to taking pictures. This came pretty fast when ordered. The price was cheaper than some local stores selling them. However, it only works I believe with common android phones.. Zmax 970 is not a typical phone so I am not surprised by the compatibilty problems. The was worth the money. Hench, I upgraded the rating.

Works well enough for less than the price of a sandwich
It is easy to setup (iOS) but has some problems. Battery door doesn't put enough pressure on battery so it works intermittently. I believe the battery life is wonky because of this and because it's Bluetooth. However, what do you expect for < $2 ? It's good if you just need to catch one shot or two from time to time but don't expect it to have the reliability of a quality product. It's fine for the dollars. If you want something of quality expect to pay ~$20.Also, I read some reviews complaining about not being able to put on your key-chain because it gets destroyed. Probably true, why do you need to put this on your key-chain? Have you seen your plastic key tags with the bar codes? You theoretically could attach your iPhone to your key chain...but just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Works well: but could be a lot quieter
Easy to use and works perfectly. It is very good for helping me hold the iPhone steady and allowing me not to concentrate on manipulating the phone in order to snap the shutter without touching the screen or covering the lens. Only two small problems that kept this little button from getting five stars: 1. It tends to rattle with my keys in my pocket, while I would prefer not to rattle when I walk around, and 2. its clicker is too loud. I sometimes turn off the sound of my iPhone's shutter so that I can snap lots of candids at an event without distracting people with the shutter sound, especially when shooting bursts. So, on those occasions, I cannot use this remote controller, because it clicks noticeably with every push of the button. Give me a way to turn off the clicker sound, and I'll award five stars.

Works just like it is supposed to, right out of the box. . .
Rec'd this yesterday for pairing with iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5s set up to record woodpeckers at bird feeding station and can say it works great so far. Was ready to go out of the box, fresh battery installed with a spare included (nice touch). After trying to pair with both devices unsuccessfully, I thought it was not working. Kept clicking the iOS button, tried different on/off sequences with each device, etc, then realized I had not slide the tiny side button to On. My mistake, not the unit's, and I suspect some of the unhappy users failed to turn their units on, too.Starts and stops video perfectly. Initial pairing via bluetooth is easy, no special app needed, though if you turn off the unit for a length of time, you may have to actively pair it again to the device by "forgetting" the remote then re-pairing. Happened with the iPhone (5s) not the iPad (Air 2). Will update this review after using it more, as far as range, etc.All in all, a pretty nifty little unit. Hard to believe the very low price.

Yes, it works with the IPhone 6 but has limitations
For what it is - a pretty good deal. Bought it for my IPhone 6 plus. No problem pairing it up. However, it didn't work with the native camera app on the IPhone. The brief instructions mentioned that it worked with the Camera360 app. After loading in this app it worked as advertised. The unit works OK. There is a latency of a half second between the push of the button and the actual snap of the photo. At first, I wasn't real pleased that this only worked with the Camera360 app. However, the Camera360 app priced at 99 cents proved to be a truly nice app. Overall, I'm pleased with this device. The price was reasonable, the unit was shipped with a 3 week delivery timeframe. Would I buy it again? No.Re edit: I ended up using another adapter that cost a little more than this one but works with all my camera apps and has a better build quality. The Camera 360 App was also too basic for my camera needs. Lesson learned, pay the extra and get something that works.
