it helped me to sleep and relax, it is good to use it around 3/4 hours before you go to sleep but usually I take one pill (maximum you can take 2) around 10pm and at 11 i am sleeping like a baby, I tried many pills to sleep and relax, this has been the best so far

I’ve been taking magnesium for several months now to help with frequent migraines and headaches, as suggested by my GP. I’ve found it very effective for both but as both mag oxide (the bog standard kind) and mag citrate (the slightly more expensive but still widely available kind) were quite hard on my digestive system I looked into other formulations and saw many advising that mag glycinate is the easiest on the stomach/digestive system, so I decided it was worth forking out a bit more.These seem to be high quality vitamins produced by a reputable brand (which I looked into a little bit), which is great compared to so many vitamins sold on Amazon which provide unnecessary mega-doses of dubious quality and provenance. This is why I disagree with other reviews blasting Barefoot Nutrition for the ‘low dosage’ of their capsules— I think 112mg elemental magnesium is plenty per capsule, considering how well mag glycinate absorbs, and more would be too much for many people!But that brings me to my warning— watch out for magnesium overdose! Magnesium is very rarely dangerous even in huge quantities, but I can testify that taking 2 of these per night for a couple of weeks lead to me feeling extremely strange, with symptoms that exactly matched those of too much magnesium— heart palpitations (which can be very scary), extreme generalised weakness, brain fog. I don’t think this is the fault of the manufacturer at all, just that you need to be careful when using a formulation like mag glycinate with a high absorption, especially if taking it daily as magnesium can build up in the body over time. It’s an electrolyte and high levels of it throws your body off balance leading to you feeling extremely strange. Luckily, if you take none for a couple of days it leaves your body and you feel back to normal with no lasting effects.Doctors routinely recommend higher doses of magnesium, around 400mg daily, for sleep problems and migraine, which leads to many thinking these doses are totally safe or even what they should be taking. However, it is important to remember that this is usually referring to magnesium OXIDE, the most common formulation with a much lower absorption rate! 112mg mag glycinate that absorbs extremely well is a lot, and so I would advise others to be careful when switching from another form of magnesium and probably start with 1 a night, especially if you are a woman who is smaller with a lowish weight like me— it can hit you very hard!

Excellent product really please

This was suggested to me to help my sleep because I wake up throughout the night and don't sleep very well. By the third night after taking these I was having a great sleep, which helped my wife to sleep too. Glad I got the subscription.

Easy to swallow.

Loved the fact that the tablets arrived before the expected delivery date and in an eco-friendly glass bottle instead of plastic! I have only been taking the supplements for a few days but I feel slightly more awake during the day which is good - I'd need to test them out for longer to hopefully see more noticeable positive changes I think. I bought these because of the glass bottle and because, from what I've researched, glycinate capsules are the most absorbed type of magnesium supplement (unlike oxide and citrate) and doesn't give you diarrhoea like cheaper citrate capsules might. There are also no bulking agents like magnesium stearate or maltodextrin which is a massive plus, and being made in the UK I trusted the manufacturing process and labelling a lot more and was comforted by the fact these didn't have to be flown in from abroad (contributing massively to carbon emissions). My only complaint would be that I wish there was more capsules in the bottle as they are quite expensive and you only get 90 in the bottle. I've been taking 1 a day to try to make them last longer but I think I'd have better results if I took 2 or 3 a day (the bottle suggests taking 1-3 a day).

Changed to this product when my usual Magnesium Glycinate was unavailable and will now not revert.Have been using this for the last seven days and have had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time, 100% recommend.
