We decided to put them to work on a gun cabinet — and they delivered. Installation was straightforward and easy, even for a DIY setup. They feel durable and well-made, not flimsy at all. The opening is smooth with a full range, and the closing? Controlled and quiet. Actually… not just quiet. Practically silent. Come to think of it, I don’t hear them at all — which is kind of the whole point, and they absolutely nailed it. We’re always on the hunt for budget-friendly options that don’t feel cheap, and this was definitely a win-win. Solid performance, smooth function, and no slamming doors. Exactly what we needed.

Works well for heavier mattresses. Installation instructions were clear and easy to follow.

I bought a pair of these for a deck box as part of a DIY project. The lid is quite heavy so I bought two 15' 67lb struts. They are well built but my result was that two cylinders were too strong for my lid: it would jump up and was too hard to close. I ended up using just one and it works ok so far. The package included some instruction but it is badly written and confusing, basically useless. I also had to go buy screws as the set does not include any hardware other than brackets. I'd say be careful selecting the appropriate strength and size, and be prepared to watch some instruction online before you can get it right.

The instructions give you a load factor of the weight of the lid x 4.5, but they don’t tell you that in the product info before you buy. Bought them for the weight I needed not 4.5 times the weight I needed. Real frustrating, have to send them back. The company needs to put the product sheet on Amazon before you buy and Amazon should know better, they are perpetuating returns that ultimately take away from their profits!!!

Put simply, these do not work. I would strongly advise you do not purchase them. I tried reaching out to their support team for help and did not receive any reply. Try another product.
